My OD Friends

Off to Florida again tomorrow. I’ll be back late Thursday night.

I had an odd experience today. I was doing the administrative stuff to put some folks assets into their joint trust and noticed that the husband in the couple shared a birthday with my husband (not year, just month and day). Then I noticed that the wife shared the same birthday as me (again not year, just month and day)! I had to call her to get some information and I told her the coincidence. I said, “So is it a good combination? We’ve been married for 20 years and it’s been good so far. Does it stay good?” And she said, “Oh yes! We’ve been married for 43 years and it’s been wonderful!” We both laughed. That was pretty cool.

I’ll “see” you guys when I get back from Florida. I love my OD buddies. I always look forward to the time of day when I finally get to relax, recline on my couch and log in to see how everybody is doing! LOL It’s funny. It’s like kicking back with a bunch of friends over coffee. What makes it extra nice is that your friends are always available exactly when you have free time! I also like it because OD gives you such a broad expanse of friends. I’ve got friends from age 14 though age 55, both male and female… and what’s really weird… is I’ve got friends who don’t even know I’m friends LOL the diarists who don’t know I lurk 😉 I actually have 31 names on my favorites list!! Some haven’t updated since December LOL, and many don’t even know I read them, but all are interesting. The favorite I’ve “known” the longest goes back 4 ½ years! My newest favorite was added just a couple of nights ago. I think OD has taken the place of the front porch of yesteryear… when people used to take evening strolls then sit and talk for a spell. Only OD is better because of this incredible diversity AND because people talk about REAL stuff in here because of the anonymity. The things we share in here are things many of us would NEVER share with our face to face friends because we know that if, at any time, we go past the reasonable boundaries, we could just delete the diary and disappear forever. There’s a certain safety to that.

Well, anyway… have a good few days. I hope when I come back that everybody entries say that wonderful things have happened to each of you. I hope everybody wins lottery, finds love, gets healthy, feels happy, and is blessed in every way!
