Day 2 for the Amsterdam Gang

Got a call from my husband at about 1pm. It was about 8pm there. They did a boat tour today and said
it was delightful (Well, they didn’t use the word “delightful.” That’s not
quite their style, but they had a wonderful time on the boat.) The also went to
some museums. My husband was impressed by the astounding amount of diamonds he saw
today, also saw paintings he said. They
did a ton of walking. He said that he and R* are exhausted. I teased them and
told them their getting too old for this.

The weather there is cold so they were a little chilled and
tired by the time they returned to the hotel this evening. Free chocolate is
served in the lobby of the hotel, so they were chomping on fine chocolate as we were chatting. I told them they’d better bring some back for
me.

They told me they walked through the Red Light District today. Both of them said the women were well-aged (and they didn’t mean "well" as in attractive) and some women weren’t even really women (if you know what I mean LOL). “Some pee standing up,” was the exact wording I was given. R* ( a bachelor) said he didn’t think he’d be going back for any action. They both agreed it was every bit as bizarre there as they had been told. “Aren’t ANY of the girls pretty?” I asked and R* said, “Yeah, some of them were.” But he was just too cold and tired to care. Maybe he’ll go back before the end of the week, but he just didn’t seem too revved up. My husband told me that a British guy was hawking a wild sex show trying to get the gang to come in and watch but they just didn’t have the stomach for it. They found, instead, an Internet café and as they sipped their coffee (yeah, and whatever else they had). My husband wrote me an email. He said be sure to check it when I logged in. I did and all he said was,

“Hi from Amsterdam. It’s it’s 1 pm here and 6 am by you – were at an internet coffeeshop with coffee!<>

shmily!

Your Husband:-)”Silly guy LOL.

I spent my day cleaning. I stayed home from work because my son still seemed so miserable this morning. Also I got up several times during
the night to test him (blood glucose).
The house looks pretty good right now.
I want it to look so great when my husband comes back that he won’t want to
turn around and fly back to Amsterdam!

My son seems to feel a lot better this afternoon although his
throat is still hurting him. I made a
huge fresh fruit salad and he’s been munching away on it. That ought to up his Vitamin C level. I hope he’ll be able to get back to school
tomorrow. I ought to definitely be able to get back to work tomorrow. We both miss my husband like crazy. We’re going to tape 24 for him tonight but my son thinks we shouldn’t watch it ‘til he gets back. I don’t know if I can wait that long. We’ll
see.

I would be missing my husband too if he went away on a trip that far. Too bad it wasn’t the 2 of you going instead. Take care and glad your son is feeling a little better. Hugs~

I know when I was deployed overseas I missed my husband so very much and he missed me. But that was no vacation spot either.

I am glad he is having such a great time! He is going to be so wiped out when he gets back, though! He’ll probably sleep until he has to return to work! LOL! Hope Zach is feeling better soon!
