My Misha Was So Sick….

Misha was up most of the night last night whimpering and being sick. Ughhhhh was she so sick on my carpet! I ended up taking her to the vet today because she was still listless. I feared someone might have put something over the fence and poisoned her. I took in (forgive me) a stool sample which was bloody and mucousy and had a more foul smell than usual. He stated she was not toxic which is a good thing and thought maybe she got ahold of a mole or bird or something that might have been in the yard. Well, we have NO mole trails in the yard but we do have toads but she will foam at the mouth if she gets ahold of one of those, she hasn’t done that. He put her on a strong antibiotic mixed with something to stop the loose stools and vomiting. Plus after she is done with this she has to have 3 different packs of this powder stuff sprinkled on her food every 3rd day to put the good bacteria back in her tummy. She seemed to be doing some better tonight and I just gave her the 2nd dose of the antibiotic. This is suppose to heal her intestines and colon. Sheeeesh it is worse than when the kids were sick. Atleast they could tell you what was wrong.

Oh forgot to mention my 3 year old grand-daughter flew through her surgery well but had to go back to the docs today becuase she hasn’t been able to hold anything down and refuses to drink much. She had her adenoids taken out (again) , her tonsils out and another set of tubes put in her ears. She was still having tons of problems and was NOT getting any better with her speech. She goes to speech therapy and takes sign language classes since her hearing is so bad from many ear infections and the doctors not doing anything for so long. Hoping she feels better soon, she wanted to talk to me last night so I talked to her on the phone and she let me know she was sick! Caleb is doing good in baseball and really is having a great summer.
Guess I will go lay with my sick dog she is whining for me to lay down. Talk about spoiled….lol
