Week-End Blues

As it turns out, my babysitting job was cancelled; the little baby was running a fever and the parents didn’t want to leave him alone. Good choice on their behalf. Even if it means I’m still broke.

In other news, I got a haircut yesterday. It was meant to be just a trim, but obviously, in Oz that means to take two inches off. It’s shorter but it’s lighter and kind of cute. At least, it’ll be easier to manage.

The new youth ministers were at church today! They’re fresh out of Oklahoma Christian University, ready to begin their work with the Belmore Road youth. However, neither them nor the youth seemed very enthusiastic about this. The youth at Belmore is never quite enthusiastic. The HIM-ers (as they’re known as), however, were still suffering from jetlag. Plus, the culture-shock…
