Well, your’s truly just got out of work. On a Tuesday? you say. Damn right! AND Barb asked me if I wanted to work tomorrow – well, hell yes! That will give me quite a sizable checque next payday (this week it’s already spent.) Maybe, if I am lucky – she’ll give me generous hours like this every week. It sure would help with expenses for our wedding. Yes – "our wedding". Judie (Ed’s mom) got talking about he fact that she could make a wedding gown and cake, and arrange for flowers and sandwiches/and I just got to thinking that I never had a "real" wedding before, and I wanted to remember it for always – and one of the reasons I didn’t really press for a wedding was because I don’t know the first thing about how to arrange one. Judie was all excited, because she said she loves to help with weddings, and K. is like a son to her and she’d do anything in the world for either of us. How sweet. So, Kevin and I stuck to our original plan of having a wedding in February (Valentine’s Day.) Friday Judie and I are going to look at patterns for wedding dresses – yes dammit. I’m gonna have my OWN wedding dress. She is going to make it for me – I have a dress all picked out at "Jo-Ann’s Fabric" (Vogue Pattern #1092)/ but Judie says that she already has 4 patterns at her house, so I’m gonna look at those. K. wants me to get married in a white wedding dress, so I’m gonna have a white veil – and I want it on a hat (which they have at "Jo-Ann’s" too.) I have to call Joel on Friday, actually go see him with payment on our phone bill, and I’m gonna ask him if would (or will) give me away. (I asked him ages ago if he would, and he said "yes".) So I’m gonna confirm that. I’m also gonna call Lena Crosby sometime soon and ask her if she would be my maid of honor. I don’t know what she’ll say, but hopefully she will accept. I wonder if K. will want Kristen (Ed’s niece) to be the flower-girl? He loves that little girl as if she were his own sister. (I’d have Bambi if I could.) Our music to dance by is going to be "Groovy Kind of Love" by Phil Collins, because when we were kids, it was "our" song. The colors are going to be pink and white (the flowers will probably be dark pink, white, and lt. pink.) Judie said she could help get flowers quite inexpensively and help arrange them. She says she can also make a wedding cake. It’s so awesome to have someone to help me plan this and get it done right. I’m so excited, K. and I are going to have a REAL wedding. K. told his brother Shawn we were getting married, and Shawn is going to tell K.’s dad. Shawn is going to take a picture of us so we can put it in the newspaper. (I think it would be better after we are married.) (Ok, anyway, I’m getting married in 4 1/2 months.) YES!
