rose quartz & orange juice
i’m just getting ready to go to bed……i have had a really busy day. this morning i met my husband in the town where he works and we had lunch together…
then i stopped at the jewelry store in Newport where my husband bought my diamond ring, and i told the owner that Kev said for me to pick out a ring that i liked for Mother’s Day–took me almost 2 hours, but i finally picked one that i really like–they ordered the setting to be delivered tomorrow so that i can go in and see if i like it…then they will order the actually ring and stone and then set it there………the stone was something that i had never seen before…a pink sapphire–apparently it is considered October’s birthstone (along with opal, but i have an opal ring that my Dad bought me for my birthday almost 15 years ago). beautiful stone, deep dark pink (the sapphire)–i chose to have it mounted in a white gold setting, even though it will not match any of my other rings.
after the kids got home from school we again went to Newport so that i could have my meds filled and get some groceries……..while there we ordered my oldest a new pair of glasses because his got broken last week when he got hit in the face with a basketball (side note: Aaron is saying he is interested in joining the track team–it is good that he is finally considering getting into a sport). the kids and i spent a good 2 and 1/2 hours futzing around Wal-Mart looking around and dropping things into the cart that interested us. (pepsi was on sale–24 pack for $5). Aaron helped me pick out a rose quartz necklace (like i needed another stone, or necklace for that matter)–he is very good at picking up subtle differences in the stones, where i just say, "ooh, it’s pretty, i’ll take it" without even checking to see if it is any different from the one that is on the peg behind it. i haven’t had a ceasar salad for awhile, so i got all of the ingredients for that, but when i got to the car i discovered that i had forgotten to buy the parmesan cheese, so i had to go back to the store anyway, and decided that i was in the mood for some orange juice
sigh……anyway, i guess that it is time to pack it in and go to bed……
