peep pEEp PEEP!

Was not such a bad ride to Dover last night. K took me in his truck (which has a/c), because he wanted to go swimming afterwards.

While I was in the dr’s office, K had called his father, and he was just finishing up his conversation when I got into the truck. I caught the tail end of his conversation. His father was saying that Aaron said that I was nasty, started laying down the law, and hung up on him. Well, suffice it to say, I was upset. Luckily, my youngest son had been in the room while I was talking to his brother, and he could verify that I had not yelled, bossed or hung up (because I was ready to cry after that phone call).

Kev told me to tape the next conversation so that I had proof that we could play back to his father, but I don’t think that I should have to PROVE anything. Nor do I have to have a "witness" to prove that I didn’t say or do anything untowards.

But I will. Because my oldest son is manipulative and resentful. He will make up stories to make himself look like a victim. And I am wondering what he is going to accuse me of when he gets home next week. (His grandfather wants him to come home, he is tiring of him).

And I am wondering how long it will be before he starts threatening to leave again, or tells me that he will leave if he doesn’t like something I do or say. I don’t want to have to walk on eggshells around him, fearing what I do or say will make him leave.

Anyway…..

Today Cam & I went down to Perko’s and picked up the baby turkeys. We had ordered 6, but one of the one’s in the box she had left was sickly looking, so she gave us all 7. I named the sickly one "Hercules", and made sure that he had some water from the dispenser. (Although the little critters seem to want to walk around in the water instead of drink it).

I asked the woman at Perko’s what you called baby turkeys? she said, "baby turkeys". Ha Ha.

They are little and fluffy, with fur the color of buttercream frosting. They have little brown spots on their heads, and the tips of their wings are white. And BIG feet, reminds me of a miniature turkey buzzard.

Cute as all get out. Their peeping is louder than the chicks were, but it’s not a sound that bothers me. Which is a surprise, because usually loud and ongoing sounds drive me nuts. Maybe it’s just because I LIKE the baby turkeys (and chicks). The thought of them makes me smile.

Too hot, going to go read with the fans on me.

Catch you all later…..

Gotta love kids. Alex pulled crap like that and when his dad says something about something Alex told him I usually just hang up on him.

Maybe Aaron needs something to make him feel independant. Does he have a job of any sort? I bet it’d do him good.
