mona lisa and a bridge
Hot again today…..
I have to leave in about 10 minutes – appointment with p-doc. Sweating my arse off, and wondering if I should change or just go in what I am wearing.
We took the boat out last night, and it was awesome. As we were circling to pull up to the deck, we thought that we heard a faint beep-beep of a horn. Come to find out, there was a boat stuck in the middle of the lake. There was a man with his 4 kids. He said that his engine was making a popping noise, and he had just put in a full tank of gas, so he was afraid of a fire.
He asked us if we would take his kids to the dock, so I helped transfer them over, and we took them to their mother on the dock, who was very upset. Then K went back and towed the man and his boat back to the dock.
The kids and the man kept saying "thank you", and we told them "no problem". And it really was no problem. It was getting dark, and who knows who would have seen them in the dark. I was glad to do my part.
I spoke to my oldest son yesterday. I called him up and said that we were getting ready for him to come home next week. He said that that was the first that he had heard of it, and he didn’t intend to come home.
He wasn’t talking at all, and I told him that if I had to carry on the conversation by myself, that I was going to hang up the phone. He abruptly said "see ya" and hung up on me. Pfft.
I had asked him why he didn’t get in touch with his grandmother, because the last time that she talked to him she gave him a lecture, and he said to me that it was HIS impression that his grandmother hadn’t gotten in touch with him.
Self-absorbed little shit. And that’s all I got to say about that.
Anyway, going to get my p-doc appointment over so that I can come home and go back to the bedroom where I have two fans set up and blowing on the bed. Hot but tolerable. Will not be a very comfortable ride to Dover. No a/c in the car.
Turkey babies (turklets?) will be in tomorrow at the feed store. I will be picking them up around 9 or 10 am.
Catch ya later…..

*oh yes, I forgot. I got to speak to my father yesterday on the phone.
I’m glad you were there when those boaters needed some help. Son is going to regret this someday.
