invite the demons in for tea

I haven’t written in almost a week. I haven’t really felt like it…..but there are things going on in my life that I am trying to deal with and "fix".

Aaron has been home for a week now. Things are going all-right. He hasn’t changed any, and is still giving me attitude, but only a little bit. I, on the other hand, have NOT lost my cool. I haven’t yelled, and I haven’t engaged in any arguments with him.

Cameron is having a very hard time adjusting to his brother being home. They are once again fighting and arguing. Yesterday they were actually physically wrestling and taunting each other – over what? A spray bottle of water. *sigh*

Aaron is definately having a hard time remembering things. I wrote his chores on a list for him, but he forgets to read the list. I am NOT doing the re-directing thing 5 or 6 times a day. I remind him once, and if he doesn’t do it, I let his father deal with him when he gets home from work.  Saves a lot on the stress that was between us before he left.

Anyway, I have an idea that I am currently mulling over. Well, I’m not really mulling it over, I have pretty much made my decision.

I am going to take a medical office assistant course online.

I really wanted to get my associate of science degree for medical assistant, but when I found out the cost, I nearly shit my pants. $24,000 for 4 semesters. Ay Carumba!

But, with a medical office assistant diploma, and my C.N.A. certification, I should be able to get a job in a medical office. Seriously, I’ve always wanted to be a medical secretary/receptionist, since I was a teenager, and now I could do that (after I finish the course).

Like I said before, I do NOT want to be changing diapers for the rest of my life. C.N.A. is hard physical work, and the appreciation level is "0".

Oh! I did get my evaluation for this year, and I had an excellent one. Even got the highest raise that I can get. But, I have to write two reports on the books about Alzheimer’s that I read, so that I can get my 6 Alzheimer credits for the year.

I also have to be re-certified in CPR. We don’t have to have it at the nursing home, because most of the patients are DNR. But I would like to re-new it. Just to keep current, you know?

Anyway (again)…..I have gotten the trunk and the right front fender re-sanded on the Falcon, and Kev sprayed them both with primer, so that they don’t get surface rust again. I can’t wait to finish it and paint it…..it’s going to be a color called "Wisteria" which is a light lavender-ish color. The inside needs a little work too, new carpets, and a new headliner.

I can’t really think of anything more to write, but I don’t really want to close this entry and lose the connection I have at the moment.

All-right, going to go in the bedroom and finish the book I am currently reading….."The Apprentice" by Tess Gerittson. Although, I should have read "The Surgeon" first, and watching the Rizzoli & Isles show on TNT, has really messed up trying to read and not come to a conclusion because of what happened on the show. Duh, I always do things bass-ackwards.

Okay, okay, I’m going…..

Great on the evaluation and raise. I used to have a l967 Ford Falcoln, about the same as yours. My was tan color. Drove it forever. Great running. We ussed to delvier newspapers with it all over the countyside when i owned a weekly newspaper. I actually did some body work, sanding, on the back driver’s side panel when I owne it. It got over 200,000 miles on it and was still running when I finally let my son have it and then he traded it on something else.
