7″ mini netbook

I just ordered a mini-netbook on e-bay. It’s Apple Green and runs on Windows. I mainly got it for writing, something that I could tote around with me (it’s 1.6 pounds). It has built in WiFi, and broadband access. I know that realistically I don’t need another computer (I have a Toshiba lap-top), but I couldn’t resist.

Aaron showed me how to write things and save them onto a flash-drive so that I can keep my journal entries on it, and then bring them up on the computer. I want to be able to read my journal entries to R when I have appointments.

Anyway…..

We are getting close to K’s operation date. He has an appointment on Wednesday, but is on the waiting list for Monday, should someone cancel their appointment.

Puppy is doing well. I think that I’ve said this before, but she is very stubborn, and has her own mind. She is a beautiful dog, and I believe that she will be well-mannered, and well-behaved, but she is not as easy-going as Bridgette is, even though they are sisters. She’s so cute and fluffy.

Two more weeks until school starts. Yay. With the kids home, and the dogs, and K being home indefinately, I am finding it hard to find the time and quiet that I need to study my course.

I also need to get out in the garage and work on my Falcon. My surface rust now has surface rust, so I need to get out there and do something mighty quick.

My mother-in-law just got back from her 2 week trip – she and her cousin came to visit this morning.

My brother-in-law is looking for a house with his girlfriend. He is almost 40, she is 25, a whole different generation than us, but they seem to be doing okay. I don’t particularly care for his girlfriend (N), the couple of times that they have come to visit, I tried drawing her into a conversation, but she just ignored me and K, and clung to S. But, then again, I don’t have to live with her, so I guess I should keep my opinion to myself.

Brother-in-law is into photography, and he is going to take Aaron’s graduation pictures. Aaron has a VERY full schedule next year, and if he doesn’t pass all of his classes, he will either have to go to summer school, or repeat the 12th grade. Personally, I don’t feel that he is ready to graduate (at 17), but again, my opinion doesn’t really matter on this subject.

Okay, going to go read on my e-reader. Have just started a book by Karin Slaughter, but I can’t remember the title of it right now. It seems to be pretty good. I’m very mixed on my opinion of Karin Slaughter – I like her books, but some of them are very hard to get into at first.
