I went and saw Vicky today, and I spent the afternoon visiting her. It’s nice to know I still have at least one friend. I was telling K last night that I hate (or dislike) living out here in the country–especially w/the neighbors that we have. I won’t have next-door babysit Aaron any longer, bcause the last time they did, I found out that he almost choked (on an animal cracker) AND he fell 2ce off of the couch! I don’t trust them, so, they are out! Vicky is good w/the baby, and he REALLY likes her, so if we are in need of a babysitter, I’ll ask Vicky. Friday is my 1st paycheck, but it’s already spent on bills–and $5 for a hair-cut. I’ve decided that my hair looks best when it’s short/feathered in front, and longer in back. Besides, my hair looks poopie the way that it is, and I feel awful when I go to work, and I look like a CHILD–w/hair sticking up everywhere, and all dry & fluffy. Maybe my "slump" will go away if I feel better about myself. ? I know I always say that I want to grow my hair, but if I grow just the back, I’ll have long hair, AND have a neat & clean appearance.
Lately I have been staying up unitl the "wee" hours of the morning, bcause at 1:30 H.S.C. comes on, and I have been watching for a special piece of jewelry to reward myself for getting (and holding) my job.

Aaron is getting really big, and he says "hi" "da da" & "ba ba" but he won’t say "ma ma" and that really hurts my feelings. Most babies say "mama" first (or at least 2nd) mine doesn’t even. I wonder why? He says "dada", and he even says it when he sees K–BUT ME?

Well, the nursing home called this afternoon and on Friday I am going in to speak with a woman named Sandra R. A couple of weeks ago I put an application just to "get my foot in the door" and today I was called on it. One of the girls that works in housekeeping is getting done, taking a leave of absence to have a baby, and Sandra needs someone to work 24 hours a week, temporarily. It’s the chance I’ve been waiting for, and I want w/all of my heart to say OK, but unless my friend Vicky says she’ll babysit Aaron, I have to decline the job. So, tomorrow I am going to ask Vicky if she can, before my interview on Friday.
*Keep your fingers crossed!*
