Have your parents ever smoked pot? Hah! Ever? They DO smoke pot… although to be fair, they stopped when I entered the picture and only started again after I started college.

Last time you cried really really hard? A couple weeks ago maybe. I can’t really remember, but it was probably either about money or Alan leaving or some combination thereof.

What’s your favorite color? I’m a pretty consistent fan of red, but I also enjoy a rich peacock blue.

Do you think your last ex deserves to die? Umm… last boyfriend before Alan was Ira, so no. He’s a good guy and probably deserved to be treated a lot better than what he got from me.

Will your next kiss be a mistake? I should certainly hope not!

Who was the last person you talked to in person? Alan (I mean, really, we do sleep in the same bed and it’s still a little early for everyone else I know to be up and about).

Do you think you can last in a relationship for 3 months? As of now I’ve been married for a year and about a month. And we dated for 5 years before that! Though to be honest, that was about the limit for my relationships after Dave and before Alan.

Have you lost friends in the past 3 years? Yes, although this makes it sound like they’ve died and that’s not the case.

Is tomorrow going to be a good day? It’ll be Sunday. Nothing wrong with a Sunday except for the fact that it’s followed by Monday.

Do you listen to music every day? Yes, although it’s usually just the radio.

Are you listening to it right now? No, I didn’t want to wake Alan up.

Are you talking to anyone while doing this? No… Like I said, it’s early.

Do you own more than one cell phone? Well, in the what’s mine is yours sense, yes, because Alan and I both have one and it’s my Verizon account.

Have you ever been asked out? Well, relationships don’t just spontaneously come into being. Someone has to do the asking! Sometimes it was me, sometimes it was him. I even got asked out by a guy 15 years older than me one day when I was working at the laundromat.

Your current relationship status? Happily married.

If you could go back in time and change something, would you? Well, there’s all the concern that any action I took to change even something minor in the past would have possibly devastating consequences for the future, but I think sometimes I’d really like to go back and punch Dave in the mouth.

Ever had a near death experience? When I was really young my friend Katie and her mom took me with them to Cape Cod. I got absolutely pummeled by a sudden wave and got tumbled around on the sand and nearly drowned. I was only about 6 or 7, and I still remember it.

What is something you do a lot? Change diapers, curse under my breath or in foreign languages, and spell things out that I don’t want the K-I-D-S to understand.

If you could have one super power, what would it be? Telekinesis might be fun.

What do you usually order from Starbucks? I don’t. The last time I went to any kind of coffee shop it was Cafe Atlantique and I ordered a white hot chocolate.

Do you still watch kiddy movies or tv shows? I watch Disney movies all the time and I have Animaniacs, Pinky & the Brain, and Batman (the animated one from the 90’s) on DVD.

What are you eating or drinking at the moment? Nada…. I finished my water and haven’t gotten any more.

Do you speak any other language? I can read and understand some Spanish and some French but I’m terrible at practicing speaking them, so I get slow and rusty. Although my accents are excellent. ^_^

What is your favorite smell? Hmmm… Alan, lilacs, rain, salt water

When was the last time you gave/received a hug? I hugged Alan before bed last night.

Ever been kissed in the rain? Probably but it obviously wasn’t as romantic as the movies would lead you to believe. I suspect I was probably just cold.

What should you be doing? Nothing now. Its 7:30 so it’s a perfectly respectable time to be up.

Who was the last person that made you upset/angry? Maybe a coworker or inconsiderate parent. There are quite a few of those in our center. Fortunately, I never close so I don’t have to deal with the ones that show up 40 minutes after the center’s closed.

If you could have any last name in the world, what would you want? I liked Austin, but it’s way to common. Alan’s last name suits me fine and I’m getting used to spelling it out.

Do you act differently around the person you like? Compared to how I act around other people, yes. I’m sillier and more myself around Alan.

What is your natural hair color? A sort of odd shade of blonde that leans toward ashy and dark with lighter streaks up front, but always turns gold in the sun and inclines toward red if I dye it no matter what color I was going for.

How many keys are on your key chain? Umm… too many. Front door, back door, basement door, my car, Alan’s car, Lisa and Kurt’s house, my luggage locks, and one for a Master lock that we don’t even have anymore.

If you were given a canvas and watercolors, what would you paint? Well, to answer the spirit of the question without going to into the specific requirements, I would paint a figure. Probably similar to what I paint now, which is usually a partial figure (I use the whole space) with a vague background.

Whose mind, besides your own, would you like to control? I don’t want to control anyone’s mind, thanks. Too creepy and too much responsibility.

What is the first thing you do when you get out of bed? Go to the bathroom and then feed the kitties.

What are you thankful you are not doing right now? Listening to children cry.

What is your favorite kind of candy? KitKats or Peanut M&M’s.

What is your favorite thing about the beach? The smells.

If you were invisible,where would you go? I think I’d slip into some super-trendy club that I would never go into if I were visible.

What is one object in your home that you are embarrassed to own? I don’t think there’s really anything. I mean, some of our stuff is pretty shabby, but I’m not embarrassed by any of it.

Who is one person you wish you would have never met? Alisa… lol… my boss at Building Our Future. I seriously feel dumber for having known her.

What is your favorite fruit? Usually whatever is in season.

What is your favorite kind of cookie? Home-made chocolate chip… because I know the secret to true cookie awesomeness.

What do you need to get right now at the drug store? Toothpaste.

What was the happiest age of your life? Ask me on my death bed. Seriously, I’ve only been on this planet for 26 years and I probably only remember 16 of them with any kind of real clarity.

What color looks best on you? I think I look best in rich jewel tones, although my very best color may just be deep salmon pink. I know everyone thinks blondes look best in pastels, but they just make me look washed out and sick.

What is your favorite thing about being sick? Ginger ale and Lipton noodle soup and watching movies all day.

What commercial do you find most annoying? I don’t watch television but anyone in the Bridgeport/New Haven area would surely agree with me on the utter irritating catchiness of the Key Hyundai jingle. Key key key key Hyundai Hyundai Hyundai.

What was your favorite meal growing up? Macaroni and cheese… actually, that’s still my favorite meal!

What body part aches you the most right now? My butt is sore from sitting in this hideous chair.

What is the longest you have ever gone without a shower? A few days. Probably when I was at Road’s End Farm. We had scheduled shower days twice a week.

What was your 1st alcoholic beverage? My mom says she used to let me try her wine at family dinners when I was little, but the first time I actually remember was stealing a sip of Irish Mist (whiskey) as a teenager.

Are you getting along with your parents? I get along well with my mom and almost always do. My dad and I are still not really speaking.

Whats on your feet right now? Slippers, although I’m thinking about adding a layer of socks. My toes are cold.
