Simple Survey

I’m feeling very sleepy this afternoon. I suspect it’s caused by a combination of things. The first is that I stayed up late watching "The Adjustment Bureau," then couldn’t sleep. The second is that someone very close to my apartment was smoking incredible amounts of pot last night. I have to assume they were literally right outside my window, because it was much too strong to be coming from the apartment below us (I know this from experience). I also think it’s a good enough spot because the driveway rises and the sidewalk doesn’t, creating this dark little pocket that’s completely invisible from all the apartments. Well, we have a fan in the window and it was sucking in all the smoke. I could see drifts of it in the light and it was making my eyes burn. It was like being in the same damn room with someone smoking. So I had that sleepy, eyes stuck shut feeling this morning when I tried to get out of bed.

Anyway, we’re still working on getting the money situation straight. Till then, much suckage. I cleaned the kitchen pretty hardcore so it looks awesome, but the smell of Simple Green is now embedded in my nostrils, which I hate. Too bad it works so well. ::sigh:: I make a pretty good housewife most of the time, huh?

— Your most overused phrase on aolaim: I hardly ever use it anymore, to be honest. My most overused phrase in general is "frankly." As if I were ever anything but frank.
— Your thoughts first waking up: Nooooooo!

— Your best physical features: Probably my eyes. It’s hard to tell what color they really are at any given moment. Secondly my hair. It’s getting crazy long.
— Your bedtime: I usually go to bed around 10:30… I don’t usually go to sleep till quite a bit later.
— Your greatest fear: Being unhappy
— Your greatest accomplishment: Mental health, tenuous as that might be. Still, I don’t fear that I’ll ever take my life, and that’s something.
— Your best memory: Graduating college, getting married.

— Smoke: No, but I have.
— Cuss: Constantly. How I ever manage to clean up my language around kids I’ll never know.
— Sing well: I’m not bad. I used to be better, but I’m sadly out of practice.
— Take a shower everyday: Just about. I may skip a day for whatever reason, but it doesn’t happen often.
— Do you think you’ve been in love: Probably far too many times… sometimes simultaneously!
— Want to go to college: I’ve already finished college, which is apparently an aberration among Army wives because people keep suggesting I go get a degree. Sorry, already have one.
— Like high school: I wasn’t a huge fan, but it was a lot better than middle school and mostly, I had fun.
— Want to get married: I should think so, since I already am!
— Type with your fingers on the right keys: I don’t know. I never took a typing class. I got out of that requirement by taking Art 3, which had a digital art component. I also got out of civics by taking AP US History at the suggestion of my sophomore history teacher.
— Believe in yourself: Most of the time, but I get discouraged at times too.
— Get motion sickness: It’s not as bad as it used to be. I can now read in the car as long as we’re on the highway. And I did fine on the plane
— Think you’re attractive: I think I’m pretty cute. I’ve had plenty of empirical evidence to back up that belief too.
— Think you’re a health freak: I’m really not. I don’t feel the need to be. I don’t have the energy to worry so much about one thing
— Get along with your parents: We have our moments, but for the most part, yeah. I get along with my dad better now that I’m older.
— Like thunderstorms: Love them
— Play an instrument: Not well, but I can read music and I learned viola, saxophone, and piano. I’ve also taught myself a few songs on the harmonica.

–Smoke(d): No, because I can’t find clove cigarettes anymore. They don’t sell them in the States, thanks to Big Tobacco
— Done a drug: Nope. Drug free’s the way to be! LOL… it has a lot more to do with lack of opportunity.

— Go on a date: With Alan, yeah
— Go to the mall?: Yes
— Been on stage: Sort of. I did karaoke while I was on the cruise

— Gone skating: Yes. Public skating at World Arena is only $2.
— Made homemade cookies: I’m sure I probably have. It’s certainly the sort of thing I do on a regular basis.
— Been in love: Yes, with my husband… and a few crushes here and there. ~_^

— Dyed your hair: Yeah, those light blond streaks around my face make the roots there really obvious

— Age you hope to be married: I was 25 when I got married
— Numbers and Names of Children: Have none. I’d like to have two though. I definitely like Anika for a girl, with Milena coming in second. Alan and I have already agreed on Hunter Thompson for a boy.
— Describe your Dream Wedding: Well, we got married in a park in the summer and had good, upscale barbeque. If I did it again, I might like the big formal event, just for contrast.
— What age do you want to die: I think 95 would a good time to go. The Austins have some good old-age genes, so I’m planning on making it.
— Where you want to go to college: I went to college at UConn, then transferred to SCSU.
— What do you want to be when you grow up: I honestly still don’t know!
— What country would you most like to visit: Scotland
