STATE YOUR AGE FOR THE RECORD:
28 years, and about 5 months

1. Do you have a college degree?
Yep. I have a BA in English (very practical, I know). I get a little tired of people here suggesting I go back to school and get my Bachelor’s. I can’t quite figure out if they think I’m that young or if they just assume most enlisted wives don’t finish college.

2. What was the amount of your last electric bill?
I think it was about $70. Of course, everything in our house is electric, so it’s not just lights and appliances. It’s also the stove, heat, and hot water.

3. Do you have insurance?
Which kind? I have car insurance, health insurance through the Army, and renter’s insurance. I don’t have life insurance though.

4. How many hours per week do you work?
0

5. Have you ever attended a Toastmasters event?
No… Didn’t even know what it was, actually. I had to look it up.

6. Favorite place to attend Happy Hour?
I’m not a big drinker and I’m definitely not a bar fly.

7. How many miles is your commute to work each day?
I don’t work, so 0.

8. What time do you get up every morning for work?
I wake up when I’m done sleeping. Lately that’s been around 7:30 because I wake up once or twice in the middle of the night because I have to pee.

9. What is your definition of sleeping in late?
Past 8, usually

10. Do you check your cholesterol on a yearly basis?
If I actually went to the doctor on a yearly basis, I’m sure I would. Since I don’t… I do know that last time I went to the doctor it was on the higher side of normal, at least the bad kind was.

11. How large was your first cellular phone?
My first cell phone was one of those Motorola ones with the rounded edges that you could change with various rubbery skins. It wasn’t huge.

12. Does your employer provide good health insurance?
I’ve been pretty happy with TriCare, both Standard and Prime. Namely because I’ve never had a co-pay and my prescriptions cost $3 for a 30-day supply. I even got a refund from CVS once because Alan worked there before he shipped out for Basic. I didn’t get my ID card until late December, so I was paying full price for my prescriptions. The pharmacists liked Alan, so they submitted my claims to TriCare from the time he enlisted and got me more than $200 back.

13. Did you use the internet to write a research paper?
Yes, of course. The internet was my savior in college.

14. Have you attended a HS reunion?
Not yet. I supposedly have one coming up in November over the Thanksgiving weekend. I guess the thinking is that most people will be home for the holiday, but I probably won’t go since Alan will only just be getting back from Louisiana.

15. Why do you think people delete questions?
Because they don’t want to answer them or they do it accidentally and can’t remember what the question was.

16. What is your favorite nonalcoholic drink?
At the moment, ginger ale. Blessed, blessed ginger ale.

17. What is the most expensive bottle of wine that you have in your residence?
I think it was about $12… we only have one right now.

18. Have you been divorced?
No and I don’t ever plan to be.

<spanlang=”EN” style=”font-family: "Book Antiqua","serif"; font-size: 10pt;”>19. How old were you when you stopped getting ID’d for Alcohol?
I still get carded, so I’ll let you know in a few years.

20. Favorite casino?
I’ve never been. It seems almost wrong considering how close I lived to the two of the most famous Indian casinos.

21. Are you happier now than you were in high school?
Absolutely!

22. Did you ever have Hyper color shirts?
I think I vaguely recall those blinding items in my closet as a child.

23. Do you remember when Michael Jackson was black and attracted to older people?
Can’t say that I do, actually. I remember watching "In Living Color" when I was a kid and seeing a spoof they did of "Billy Jean" based on that whole thing.

24. Do you remember when MTV actually played music videos?
Only vaguely. I didn’t have cable TV growing up, so by the time I spent any time watching MTV, it was mostly reality shows. I do remember watching Double Dare on Nickelodeon when I went to my friends’ houses.

25. Have you had a will made?
No, but I really should get on that. I don’t have so many assets that it’s a big deal, but once the baby is born, Alan and I will have to decide on legal guardians.

26. What music was in your cd/cassette player when you were 16?
Hmm… Hard to tell at this point. I’d venture to say Ozzy Osbourne, Korn, and Marilyn Manson… also Britney Spears. I had rather varied musical tastes

27. How long has it been since you attended a kegger?
Sometime in college, probably sophomore year, so about 8 or 9 years.

28. How many times have you driven home drunk?
Maybe once.

29. How many major wars have you lived through?
Define major… I was alive for the first Gulf War as well as the second and our current war in Afghanistan.

30. Where were you when you found out about 9-11?
I was in my biology lab when it happened, so I didn’t find out until I got to Animal Science and they had the big projection screens down and were showing the news footage.

31. What bill do you hate paying the most?
Rent, just because it’s so high it eats up almost all of Alan’s first paycheck of the month.

32. Where’s the best place to eat a romantic dinner?
We don’t often do "romantic" dinners. I think my favorite place so far is Jake & Telly’s.

33. Last time you puked from drinking?
About 8 years, thankfully.

34. When is the last time you got drunk and danced on a bar?
I can honestly say that I never have. I have gotten drunk, stood on a guardrail and flashed a crowd, though.

35. Name of your 1st grade teacher?
Mrs. Hall. I remember we all used to think she wore a wig for some reason.

36. What do you really want to be doing right now?
Feeling better.

37. What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A veterinarian

38. Why did you wear the shirt that you have on right now?
It’s one of my pajama t-shirts and happens to match pretty well with the pajama shorts I’m wearing.

<span lang="EN" style="font-family: "Book Antiqua","serif"; font-size: 10pt;”>39. How long have you been out of high school? "
10 years now, which is why I have a reunion coming up in November.

40. Gas prices?
$3.45/gallon, I think. I don’t drive much, so I don’t pay much attention. It’s also pretty irrelevant because it doesn’t matter how much it costs, we still have to fill the car up.

41. If you could move anywhere and take someone with you?
England, maybe. Alan, of course.

42. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
My alarm wasn’t set and Alan’s rarely wakes me up.

43. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
Please let me wake up not wanting to throw up.

44. Favorite style of underwear?
Bikini hipsters

45. Favorite style of underwear for the opposite sex?
Boxers

46. What errand/chore do you despise?
Dishes. I’m not really a fan of laundry either, but I especially hate doing the dishes.

47. If you didn’t have to work, would you volunteer at an art gallery?
I don’t have to work and I don’t volunteer at an art gallery. Really, if I was going to volunteer anywhere, it would be someplace where my contribution actually meant something like at an animal shelter or a soup kitchen.

48. Get up early or sleep in?
I usually get up pretty early.

50. Favorite NON sexual thing to do at night with a girl/boy?
Watch bad TV… I’m actually becoming a major fan of Ghost Adventures because the guys on it are so damn funny.

51. Favorite 80’s movie?
How can I pick just one? I mean, there’s "The Goonies" "The Last Unicorn" "The Neverending Story" and "Ferris Bueller." What kind of choice is that?

52. What do you get every time you go into Wal-Mart?
Annoyed, aggravated, and irritated.

53. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?
Not necessarily.

54. Do you want to get married?
No, I’m happy with the marriage I’m in, thanks.

55. Do you want to have kids?
I should hope so since I’m pregnant!

RYN: Well it is Ireland, the church still owns most of the schools, though that’s starting to slip. abortion is still illegal there. For the first time our Taoiseach actually spoke out about the church there the other day. totally unhelpful with regards to the sex abuse, advised bishops to ignore things. Sure, my parents were beaten at school if they were bold. when you think about it, i’m pushingfor this great big jump forward with the venus project when we’re not even close to that point. HURRY THE FUNK UP HUMANITY!
