Quite a Year

Today is our second anniversary and I must say, it’s been an interesting year. I started a wonderful new job. Alan left for Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, then went to Arizona for AIT. He came home. We moved more than halfway across the country. And now we’re trying to get pregnant. Definitely a little crazy. But mostly good. I’m glad I’m married to Alan and I’m glad we’re together. There’s no one else I’d rather be living my life with.

We’re not doing anything special tonight. I’m making maple chicken for dinner, which is one of Alan’s favorite meals. We’re a little short of cash, for one thing. For another, Alan’s unit does a serious run every Monday and he usually takes a nap when he gets home. We’ll probably do something on Saturday. Maybe we’ll go to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I’ve been wanting to go. And there’s no real worry about bad weather these days. I don’t think it’s rained here in over a month and the temps are still quite summery. There’s certainly no rain in the forecast either. I must say, it’s kind of nice that I don’t have to worry about weather when making weekend plans.

Anyway, I said a while back that I would post pictures of my new, darker hair. So here they are.

I feel like I had a lot more to say, but now I just can’t seem to find the words to say it. I’m taking my last half-pill of lamictal tonight and will henceforth be drug-free. It’s exciting and a little scary, just like the prospect of having a baby. Anyway, I think I may write more tomorrow.
