Oh Crud

Some pretty shitty news here in Milford – Alan got laid off today. The manager up at the main store has been under a lot of pressure to turn things around in terms of numbers apparently. And of course that bitch Andie completely threw Alan under the bus. Calling him lazy when the only days the auto center meets its goals are days when Alan’s there? Please. I swear if I ever see that bitch again I’m going to spit in her face for being such a duplicitous, morally degraded, whiny skank.

Anyway.

We’ll be all right. At least Alan will be able to draw unemployment, unlike yours truly. The lack of health insurance is going to seriously suck, and the timing could be better, to say the least. But we’ll survive. I’ve been paying down my credit cards like a fiend so all the minimum payments are really low. I’ve also been saving like mad. And as I’ve said before, it’s better to be jobless in the summer. The bills are much more manageable.

And I don’t think he’ll be out of work long. He’s extremely good at what he does, whatever poison Andie has been dripping into people’s ears. And he makes a lot of connections. So here’s hoping. My last day is tomorrow and on Monday I’m going to the temp agency. No rest for the wicked.

I had a little cry over it in the car on the way home, and maybe I still have some tears of anger and frustration and worry left to cry, but I’ll certainly try my hardest to wait until Alan’s not around.
