Eye for Composition (Image Heavy)
For the last couple years, Alan has been really into photography. Given the hobbies that seem to dominate his father’s side of the family, I’m not the least bit surprised that he’s focused on what is referred to (kindly) as "Urban Exploration," but is technically trespassing in abandoned buildings and factories. At any rate, it’s been a great way to get great photos. And he’s serious about this. His friend Jeph is going to be putting up some of his prints at the cafe he works at in Norwalk and Alan’s looking in to putting them up at the library as well. He’s also developing a website. Unfortunately, he’s also a little insecure. I think his photos are pretty awesome, but he’d like your comments as well. So I’m devoting a couple entries to showing off my husband’s considerable (photographic) talent. Let me know what y’all think and I’ll pass the comments along to him, since he’s a good man who respects my privacy and doesn’t read my diary.
These first few are Louis’s car. He’s going to be taking more of these and submitting them to a car magazine.
This next set is from all over… As in, I can’t remember specifically where these ones are from so they get tossed in "Miscellaneous:
I think that’ll be all for now. There are plenty more pictures, but I’ll post them later on. Leave me comments!

The car shots are amazing (the others are great, too, but for some reason I really love the car shots). He does have a nice eye. He should try getting a show in a local gallery–even if he doesn’t sell anything, it’s a great way to get noticed. I can’t wait to see more 🙂

Wow! Those are so awesome! The car pictures look fantastic, but I also like the one with the slinky ^^ My jaw dropped when I saw those. I could easily imagine any of those photos in a magazine or ad or something of the like. Tell Alan that he needs to do this for a living! lol ^_^ ~*Stephanie*~

ryn: LOL…sometimes I’m a little slow! Yah I LOVE UE…I actually haven’t gone into any buildings yet, but that’s my plan for next weekend. There is a decreped house not too far from me. I was unsuccessful this weekend when trying to break into a barn! Still got some awesome shots though through the cracks of the barn…check them out!!

Personally, the cars are not my favorite, but I have a scion too, so they get some propers. I love the rest. I can’t explain it, but something about the dirty toys and flag are rather poignant.
