Alphabet Survey Q-V

Q is for quadruplets.

What would your reaction be if you found out you were pregnant with quadruplets, if you were ready to have children? Initially, shock. After that wore off, I think I would have to sit down and weep. Then I would start organizing, because that’s what I do.

Do you think you could handle four babies? Yes, but I think I would need a lot of help at first. I’ve got plenty of practice at wrangling four kids at once.

What gender ratio would you like? [ex. two boys, two girls] Two and two. That way no one feels left out by being the only girl or boy and you still have a mix.

What would you name your quadruplets? Anika Katherine, Mischa Courtenay, Elliott Zachary, and Jeremy Robert.

Would you dress your kids all the same? Probably not… although maybe for special occasions like family photos or Christmas cards.

R is for recommendations.

If someone was to go to your favorite restaurant, what would you recommend they try? Sesame chicken at Coal Mine Dragon. So good.

If someone was to come to your town, where would you tell them to visit? Garden of the Gods. It’s gorgeous.

If you needed a letter of recommendation, who would you ask? Kim or Erica from Bright Horizons.

When you go to a new restaurant do you ask the waiter/waitress what they recommend? No, but perhaps I should.

Who would you never write a recommendation for? Semire from Bright Horizons.

S is for sand.

Have you ever been to the beach? Uh… yeah. Lots of them.

Have you ever been to the sand dunes? I have seen them, but I’ve never been on them.

Would you ever go to a nude beach? I don’t think I would, but mostly because I’m not comfortable with my body.

Name a good memory that occurred at the beach. Lots of my high school memories are from the beach. One in particular stands out. Sitting on the swings in the middle of winter, cruising with my friends, smoking, with the windows rolled down and the music waaaaay up. Another was running through the water with Arthur and Joe in the dark and getting scared by a skunk on our way back to the car.

Have you ever made a sand castle? Of course.

Have you ever made anything out of sand? Yep.

T is for time.

Do you know the time in which youwere born? 12:49 PM… lunch time.

What time do you usually wake up? Between 7:30 and 8, but I’m trying to get up early so I can hit the gym before anyone’s in the office.

What time do you usually go to bed? 10 or 10:30

What is your favorite time of day? Late morning or early afternoon.

What time do you usually have dinner? Normally around 6 or 6:30 because Alan is really hungry when he gets home, but he’s working late this week. So dinner is late too.

What time is your lunch break? Well, since I don’t have a job, I can eat when I get hungry. I usually eat lunch between 1 and 2.

U is for uniforms.

Does your school have a uniform? My school never had a uniform.

What are your views on school uniforms? I think that in certain environments they can be good things.

Does your work have a uniform? Bright Horizons did, but it wasn’t what you’d call strict.

If so, what does it look like? We just had to wear a Bright Horizons shirt. The basic one was just a t-shirt with the logo on the chest, but some of us had hoodies, polo shirts, button downs, fleeces, etc.

Does your mom wear a uniform to work? Yeah, I think she does.

What about your dad? Definitely.

V is for vegetables.

Do you grow vegetables in your garden, if you have one? I would if I had a garden.

What is your favorite vegetable? Broccoli

Least favorite? Artichokes

How do you like your favorite vegetable cooked? Simply steamed is just fine by me.

Do you like to eat raw broccoli? Not really. Odd, considering it’s my favorite veggie.

What is your mom’s favorite vegetable? I have no idea.
