Abstraction
I just wanted to post an abstract watercolor I did the other day. Actually, it’s four watercolors that I did as a set. I don’t know why, but I’ve been doing a lot more nature stuff lately, rather than my usual figure work. And most of it’s been pretty basic, simple lines and shapes. The trees have been fun and I have another couple ideas for pieces. Unfortunately, I’m running out of watercolor paper. I don’t want to use my sketchbook because I want to be able to frame them or even sell them and because I love my sketchbook and can’t find the same one anywhere out here. So I’ll have to order it. And without a car, I can’t go to Michael’s for more paper, unless I’m in the mood for a serious walk. The bus might run by there, but I’m not sure.
Anyway, here’s my dandelion quartet. It’s four separate pieces, scanned and collaged in Photoshop:
