Stuff I Appreciate

I am thankful for:

My hunny Pi is my best friend. He makes me laugh, makes me crazy sometimes, but mostly makes me feel good about who I am. I know I make him crazy too, sometimes, but we have each other.

Pi is a good daddy, too, even when he’s tired from working all day.  He is a proud daddy, and tells his customers all the time about Tots.

Tots is a great little boy, who is loving, cuddly, fun, smart and a little mischievous. He loves me and Pi so very much. I didn’t know how hard being a mom was going to be, but most of all I didn’t know how much of a payout it gets. I didn’t know it was going to teach me so much about growing, the human body, psychology, patience and taking care of myself.

The Pipster is always there for me. She helps me, listens to me, praises me. Pip did a lot for me my whole life, and I even think she did more raising me than Mom did. She even picks up the phone when I call, even if she’s not in the mood to talk, because she knows that I might just need some adult conversation. She is a good person and a good person for me to have in my life.

My Dad has given me so many of my happy memories..  When I think about growing up, I have such good memories of places he took us and the things he did with us, like going camping, playing catch, coming to my school picnics and romping in kickball.  I think about going to my first concert.  I was afraid to go, because I didn’t know what it was going to be like and that there would be a lot of people there.  He told me that it was going to be fun, and I should go.  I had a blast that night.

Mom and even Stepfather put up with us, even though we are loud at night, sometimes.  They help us out in so many countless ways.

I live in a house that’s full of family.  If I need a change of place or people to talk to, I can just go downstairs and see them.  Tots is growing up close to some of his grandparents, and will have closer relationships to them than I have had.

I eat everyday, and most of it is healthy.  I can cook good food for Tots and Pi and, for the most part, they finish it.  I have to say that Pi is a little better at keeping what he doesn’t eat off the floor.

I get to write everyday about what we’re doing, no matter how trivial, and you guys read when you can.  You all write when you can, too, which makes me happy to know that you’re all as happy and healthy as you can be.

There is a lot more that I am thankful for, and if I wrote about each and every one, this wouldn’t end.  I am thankful for the sun, moon, clouds, grass, and everything else in nature, entertainment and the ability to find it, my brain and what it concocts, socks, the many options I have for pizza and grinders in this town, the ability to smell and see and feel and hear, and orange juice.
