“Good” in Almost Every Paragraph

I had a pretty good day.  I’m proud of myself that I got us up on time.  I got us dressed on time.  Tots didn’t want his breakfast bottle, but he ate a ton of cottage cheese, at least half of a cup.  I’m happy that I prepared his bag last night, so I wouldn’t be scrambling before work.  I even had his cup washed, filled and ready in the fridge.  I wish I didn’t forget it.  I even got to work a minute early and surprised Boss.

Tots had a good day at his gramma’s house.  Apparently, though he didn’t take a nap, (whatever) he did eat a ton of stuff.  Pi said he had chicken, steak, tomatoes, pasta, a ton of cereal, a bunch of peach puffs and a whole cup of juice.  Wow!

Work was good.  It was a good crew of Char, Sparkley, Ajax, Sandy and myself.  Everyone keeps working hard, but we still have fun.  Ajax and Sparkley are just wild when they’re around together, which makes me wild, too.  Ajax came out of the freezer at one point with a wrapper from the muffins that had a bunch of thawed out gingerbread muffin stuff on it.  He "claims" that he just wanted to show us, but I tried to push the wrapper on him to get the stuff on him.  He wrapped it around my hand, so I wiped it on his jacket.  I turned around to walk away and he put me in a choke hold and wiped the wrapper on my face, getting the gook all over my face.  At this point, Char yelled, "Enough!"  You have to listen to Char.

I ended up staying until ten, taking a few of Sparkley’s hours, but she didn’t mind.  I could use the money, and she has a bunch of hours this week.

When we got home after Pi picked me up, we watched an episode of "Wonderpets."  Right after that, it was bathtime for Tots, and then right to sleep.  It was nice having such an easy night with him, but I missed him today.  I like having my days consist of Tots and Mommy time.

Well, that’s my day in a nutshell.  Life is good.

Oh, the good days are the gems! (Kids Tots’ age can be so unpredictable. You have this great thing going and then one day you get up, oblivious, and the sweet boy who ate all his breakfast yesterday, is flinging poo from his crib and you realize you overslept and are an hour late. LOL. No, I’m not trying to hex you!) It feels so good on those days when everything just falls into place, doesn’t it?Getting to work runs well, being at work runs well. Good is GREAT!
