A great friend

Who left us far too soon
Leaving friends and family

With enough grief to fill the moon

I wanted you to be there for me

And I wanted to be there for you

I wanted you to be proud of me

And all the things I’d do

It still hasn’t sunk in that you’re gone

And I don’t think it ever will

Cause things hurt so much without you

And the pain it lingers still

I can’t explain how sad I feel

Without you still around

Your potential and your zest for life

Were things that couldn’t be bound

So now, as I begin to close
