poor mike :-(

gosh i feel so bad for my good friend mike! today is his birthday and on friday evening he was having some drinks at a bar with some of his guy friends for an early celebration. they went back to johns house and were there for quite some time. when mike wasnt drunk anymore he and chris went to go get something to eat and on the way a cop pulled them over. they had been goin the speed limit so they didnt know what was wrong.after lookin at both ends of his car the cop said he had no decals. mike was confused because he was pretty sure his car had everything, but that is what hte cop said. then the cop asked them if they had been drinkin at all and mike wasnt goin to lie so he said "yea my friends and i went and had drinks earlier in the evening" the cop asked mike to get out of the car and chris told him he didnt have to take the test if he didnt want to but mike cooperated. so he blew into the thingy and took the test and then teh cop told him he was being arrested for driving under the influence! in washington the law states that in order to be driving under the influence of alcahol you have to blow an 8.0 or higher. mike had alcahol still in his system but he only blew a 6.0 which is about the equivalent of 2 beers.  still he was arrested, called a lier, and harrassed by the police officer. he was put in jail for the night under 5,000 dollar bail! his parents got him out the next day thought of course and they are now getting this all sorted out in court. mike saw that he DID have decals on the front of hte car but just not on the back. he didnt know he had to have them on the front and back. but the cop had looked at both ends and said he didnt have them, so mike took pics to prove he did. also , if he was goin the speed limit ,and used his signal to pull over, held a fine convorsation with the officer and passed the tests, there was no reason at all for him to be arrested. that cop was just wanting his money, just a reason to bust someone and his car was the onyl one around at 1amish.  i just feel so bad for him. he has 2 more times to go to court to figure it all out.it really should be dismissed because fo the law, and if it isnt and he is guilty for any kind of reason, then the court is ruling against the law. it should have stopped right at the breathalizer! the officer didnt even tell mike what he got and if  he passed, he just arrested him. it wasnt till later when he got the paper work that he saw what his alcahol level was. thats just wrong. i really dislike the cops here because they take advantage of their job and abuse their power. they really ruin people. im prayin for mike that everything will be fine, cus if not, he can go to jail for a year. that just CANT happen! sigh. keep your chin up mike , and happy birthday you stud muffin you
