memorial day weekend

so friday i was happy of course because it was pay day (YAY!) and i think i already wrote about that, but any who. That night it was megan, jen, ali, mallory and i! we went over to mal and chris’s house and just chilled for a few hours. Chris was quiet, but I think him being surrounded by girls he is still getting to know makes him that way haha *shrugs* It was really nice seein mal and OH MY! she is the cutest pregnant girl ive ever seen! the lucky bitch is 3 months along and has only gained 10 lbs, guess where? only her stomach! she is the exact same size everywhere else lol. she says the doctor told her everything is perfectly normal though! she does not look like shes 3 months holy cow! i made her show me the pictures and omg the baby looks so big already! to think that a little person is growing inside mallory. wow. she said the doctors think she’s having a boy because theres a little nubby looking thing in the picture which might be a penis? she and chris were hoping for a girl but hey *shrugs* im so happy and excited for her! she is going to be a great mommy ^_^

i told her that i cant wait to take her pregnany lady shopping and she laughed. later i went and spent the night at megans because i had a hair apointment in the morning in tacoma.
 
my apointment was with a guy…i had never had my hair cut by a man before and i was sorta hoping he would be gay because it seems like all gay hairstylists are really great for some reason or another *shrugs* at least the ones on tv i see are.

however, the guy who did my hair was totally NOT gay which made me really nervous. especially since he had only been cutting hair for 4 years. although he had really nice hair and good style, a very rocker looking vest over a t-shirt and skinny jeans. when he started commenting on how he could tell i had cut my own bangs i was relieved. he knew what he was doing and i could tell he had the perfect picture in his head of how to fix my dilemma which was caused by the last lady who cut my hair.
sure enough he made my hair look the best i have ever seen it! it was amazing! i was astounded at how shiny and smooth and curly it looked without him using any iron tools whatsoever! only a hair dryer and round brush. i have to hearn how to do that! i made sure to give him a really good tip  ^_^

right after i got my hair done megan and i were headed to jeffs. Jeff is the new guy megan met through her cousins friends and I could tell she really liked him because they had been hanging out A LOT and she was texting him all the time! now, usually if a guy texts megan too much or calls her every day, or wants to see her ALL the time, she gets annoyed and automatically is turned off….however with this guy it seemed she couldnt get enough of him and would go on and on and on! it made me very happy to see this kind of change in megan. i have never seen her like this over anyone so i was very excited that jeff wanted to meet me today and was going to take us to one of his family friends barbeque’s in enumclaw.  His brother Rick would be joining us too and I had a suspicion that Rick was coming for my sake lol. oh boy.

Jeffs house is adorable! the perfect size! very well kept, lots of windows, a nice porch along the side of the house and stairs leading back to a garage where he keeps a nice shiny alcamino! (sp?) but that wasnt what i loved best about his house….megan had told he he had an african bullfrog as a pet and the minute i spotted it i was in love! King (the frogs name) is a HUGE one and a half pound frog that is soooo fat and cute and AHH! Of course i had to hold him and jeff didnt mind at all. he told me i was the first girl to ever want to pick it up! megan rolled her eyes lol i could tell what she was thinking lol "she probably only wants me to stay with jeff because of his frog now" haha. 

Then we all played bowling on the Wii until rick came over with his husky Outy! I love huskys! practically everyone in ak has one and i dont see them often down here so I was thrilled! My first impression of Rick when he walked in the door was "wow…he is CUTE" haha. I was sorta taken aback because Jeff is really tall, with sandy blonde hair and blue eyes, while his brother rick was shorter and stalkier with brown hair and brown eyes! I could not see the resemblance but oh well *shrugs* I was happy to share the back seat of the car with im and outy ^_^. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! almost 90! so the bbq was really fun! Although we didnt really know anyone there everyone was very chatty and friendly which made me feel very comfortable ^_^  I dont remember the name of the park but it was absolutely gorgeous! lots of trails and very much a rainforest. The Green river cut right through. I laughed and shook my head at Rick because he was complaining about the mudd getting on his white shoes….oh come on! lol he should have worn hiking boots or something. as for me i just didnt care. i got mudd all over my swede boots. it ends up drying and blending in, adding more character to them *shrugs*

I watched how Jeff and Megan were together. Jeff couldn’t keep his hands off of megan! He was either holdin her hand, holding her from behind, giving her little kisses, picking her up and almost flippin her upside down. I have never seen anyone like that with megan and i could tell she was enjoying every second of it. It really made me happy ^_^ it brought me joy to see that this was something that could possibly actually work for her.

megan has had a lot of men in her life that started out nice and ended up being sketchy. I’ve send it happen over and over and it hurt me to see megan losing hope that she would ever find someone who really could see her and love her for who she is. And i see who megan is, she is an intelligent, beautiful, loving, kind hearted, selfless girl who has a deep respect for herself and others. There was no way she would put up with anyone hurting her or the people she loves. Every single man that has come into her life has learned a valuable lesson about how not to treat people, because megan expressed her thoughts loud and clear. So it made me ever so proud to see that her wish was maybe possible finally coming true for her ^_^  and i could tell that jeff saw her like no other man has. he had that look in his eyes. i cant explain it, the look of complete adoration, the look a man has when he sees something he wants really really bad, but not in a lustful kind of way…a special kind of way, like he only has eyes for her. 🙂

Rick and I got along well! He has the potential to be very funny. I can tell he has a great sense of humor, he just wasn’t completely himself around me which was fine because I wasnt completely myself either! it always takes me a while to warm up around people i dont know. however when we got back to jeffs and played fooseball I knew that rick and i would get along just fine! he was good! maybe just as good as me! well, im not sure im ready to say that….just kidding, but yea i was impressed when we switched spots so that he could play offence. We won both games against jeff and megan lol. afterwards Rick left for his daily 10 mile run. TEN MILES?

! holy crap! I can barely run over 2! Jeff said Rick lives for running. Its his third year in college now and he only had one more year to compete so he is working really hard. Its nice that he has so much passion.

So Jeff took us to a new secret spot that Megan and I have not seen at Point Defiance Park! This steep trail goes down through the woods to this little tiny secluded beach. The minute I saw it i thought it would be the perfect romantic place to watch the sun  set privately. Turns out, not far offshore there were whales breaching! so we stuck around. 🙂 i was hoping one of them would jump but that never happened. However we did see seals jumping and some of them came as close as 13 yards off shore to check us out! popping their heads out of the water every so often and staring at us. I barked at them and megan called me a weirdo lol. I dont care. The  other people who were also there before us probably thought so, but heck, i wanted to bark at the seals so i did! I think it worked because the seals got even closer! 4 of them lined up together all popped up out of the water at the same time! it was so cool!

Rick didnt come back to Jeffs like he said he would and to be honest I was a little dissapointed but oh wells. megan jeff and i went out to dinner and I had a chance to talk to Jeff one on one for a bit. I pretty much made it clear that he better not mess this up with megan ( i was being seriously sarcastic and he could tell) but i also told him that it was about time someone like him showed up for megan, and explained how she’s been mistreated. i went on and on about her and our friendship. it was probably the raspberry margarita i had that helped me talk so much lol. Before dinner I was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call from my dear friend Aika who was now back in Kodiak working! I grew up with her and have only seen her twice since ive moved. Every year that passes I feel like I am missing out. I am missing out on her just like she is missing out on me. Yes Aika knows me like nobody else, but she wasnt there when i needed her like megan was, she wasnt there through everything to see how  i’ve grown and changed.  I dont want us to become just memories of childhood.  She had bad news for me. She wasnt able to come see me in august beause it would be an extra 100 dollars to stop in seattle instead of going straight home to wester virginia. I swallowed hard. I understood, but couldnt help the overwelming sadness come over me. How much longer would it be till i saw her again? After we got off the phone i was tryidng so hard not to cry but when i started telling megan about the news the tears started coming. she said "hannah you can still use your standby ticket!"

I was shocked! I wasnt going to use that ticket because I thought megan would be angry with me. I thought that since we had already gone to kodiak during the winter that there would be no way she’d want to go again this summer. I said

"really?? you wouldnt be mad?"
she thought and said "well maybe ill go with you…maybe"

i told her that would mean the world to me.

on the way back to jeffs house after dinner (we were stayin the night there) Jeff said to me "so hannah you’re single right?"

oh brother….

"yyyyeeeaaaahhh…why?"

"well I was thinkin id have this get together soon. I could bring all of my friends over and you can have your pick!"
i laughed lol.  then he went on about his friend bijorn who he was sure to be my type.

I had nothing against him wanting to try and hook me up with one of his friends. it was flattering that he considered me for them, however I made sure to tell him that as much as i appreciated what he was doing, im not really going out of my way to find somebody but hoping more that I would meet that person spontaneously instead of sorta being introduced.  he understood me but i think that get together is going to happen anyway and already even his mother knows about megans friend who is single and how her other son should meet me (not Rick). *sigh* oh brother lol.

I dont NEED someone. ive been perfectly fine on my own which i like. I think its very healthy for me. Yes i do get lonely from time to time but I just figure its meant to be when its meant to be ya know? It will happen when it happens. *shrugs* until then im content.

so yea Jeff is totally on my good side and now megan is his girlfriend ^_^ her first boyfriend since highschool! wow. I have a good feeling about this one ^_^

he is cooking dinner for her tonight. so sweet. I hope someday i find a guy that will cook for me!

so sunday i woke up with a really sore throat. got home and got a text from jen asking if i wanted to go to the mall. I called liz to see when she would be over with her boyfriend andy to visit since i knew they would be coming over sometime that day and since she said they wouldnt be over till the evening i agreed to go with jen. i invited ali along as well and we had fun looking through forever 21, buckle and victorias secret. mal texted me while we were there and i told her to come over later.

so when we got back to my house liz and andy were there already waiting for us and so it was me, liz, andy, mallory, jen , and ali and mike and jonah! so fun! i love when everyone gets together its so refreshing and makes me so happy ^_^ this summer we have to have as much fun as possible! I feel that every year that passes brings us ferther and ferther away because our responsible grown up lives are taking over.

well im getting sleepy and i have to wake up early tomorrow to take my dad to the airporter. he heads off to china and im headin to my liqor licence class. lol. chow
