lemonade and tears

Well again, if it’s not one thing it’s another :-), but I take it like a grain of salt because these things are no one’s fault "besides the flea problem". This afternoon the power gets turned off in our apartment. I had not received a notice from Whitney about our bill yet so I called her and told her what happened. She was confused because she had sent the power bill for last  month a couple of weeks ago through her online account. She even had the confirmation number to prove it. So she called them and it turns out that the power company was having technical difficulties with their site and so they did not receive her payment in time. Therefore, they charged her a late fee even though she did not receive a notice at all about the website having trouble. The company claims it says on the site that if the payment does not work online that it should be paid by phone, but her payment went through. Ugh what douches. Oh how I hate cable and power companies here.  I feel bad for her and it sucks for me that the power isn’t on, but this is life. Shit happens! Ya just gotta take the lemons and make lemonade ya know what I’m saying?

They will be coming out to turn the power back on tomorrow and I’m going to deposit my portion of this months power bill as well.

I was about to go to Barnest and Noble and look up casting calls in backstage west, but I only have a couple of hours of light left to work with, so I best be getting on to being off book for my audition tomorrow!

I’m going to charge my compooter in the library as well, before it closes! Later ya’ll!

OMG sooooo I took my first look at my new sides for my audition tomorrow and got really really excited. It’s a scene from the holocaust and I am playing a jewish girl named Kira who just arrived at the camp and is being comforted by another girl who has been there a while named Sarah.

Sarah is trying to prepare her for what is to come. She tells Kira that a gaurd is going to come take her, ask her to perform oral sex and then rape her and she must consent or else she will be killed.

Kira is a virgin and very scared, she says she would rather be dead, but Sarah tells her not to let the Germans win and to save her own life she must go through with this and not cry.

Oh god….It was so hard reading it. It’s such a powerful scene.

What happened in the holocaust really deeply effects me to the core, just like I’m sure it does many people, and after reading through the entire scene I couldn’t stop crying. When reading something like that you can’t help but see the images that come into your mind and be affected by them.

Tomorrows audition should be interesting. I think I will do very well. I will write about it. Goodnight everyone.
