Just going on’s
Current events in my life:
Two members from that 90’s boy band O-Town looked at my whole Instagram story today. It was of me cuddling with my cat and then making a big awesome pancake, bacon and egg breakfast. Interesting.
A hot Russian/Jewish guy ( he was wearing a yamaka ) chatted me up on my work flight from San Jose to Dallas ( I’m a flight attendant ). I ended up giving him my number ( it’s been years since I’ve done that ) and we are getting together for lunch when I overnight in Dallas on Wednesday. He is not fluent in English, but heck I don’t know a lick of Russian. I’m also going on 7 years of being single, so I’m open minded.
I put on my favorite brown blazer jacket the other day and couldn’t button it. It was too small. I’m more bummed about it not fitting than my weight gain. If there’s any motivation to lose 10 lbs it’s that jacket cause it’s vintage and irreplaceable. But whatever, I still have hot Russian guys hitting on me.
In class I’m learning how to better communicate with my spiritual guides. I know they exist, but I’ve been bad at taking the time to form a relationship with them. I’ve got to start making the time to meditate and do that.
During my last work trip I tried out Olay for the first time and U had the most HORRIBLE allergic reaction! My whole face, neck and chest got red l, swollen and blotchy with little itchy bumps all over. I should have known better than to put something on my face before looking at the ingredients list, or at least doing a patch test, but no. Stupid me. I posted on twitter and guess what? Olay reached out to me and expressed how concerned they were for my safety and the safety of others who use their products. I let them know that I do have sensitive skin and how it was my fault for not checking the label first, but they still wanted me to tell them which ingredients I thought caused the reaction and they said they were sending a full report to their team at the labs. Then they wanted to send me a $25 debit card for my troubles! WOW! Even though I’ll never use their products again, I’m very impressed with the company.
So far the only moisturizer I’ve been able to use that hasn’t caused any reactions or breakouts is Clinique moisture surge, but it’s so expensive! I wish I could find a more affordable option. It is a great product though.
Alrighty time for bed. Goodnight.
All I know in Russian is “koshka sidit na divania”. It really is all that matters in this world 😛
You have the job I dreamed of as a little girl. How exciting!
@thenerve lol Cat sitting on a sofa? 😆 love it. I love my job and it’s never too late to follow your little girl dreams! You should think about it! Free travel!
@hannah_banana0012 – Hahaha, yes, if you know cat language in any language, you can survive! 🙂 Alas, there IS a late time to follow those dreams… I know there are certain physical requirements that I probably do not meet at all, and which age would not allow me to “get back” 😛
@thenerve ah. Age isn’t an issue, the oldest gal in my new hire training class was 68, but physical ailments would be. You’d have to be able to lift bags into in overhead bins for sure.
@hannah_banana0012 – Oh, no, that I could do. But I’m fat 🙂 I know there’s a certain weight requirement. BTW, does it pay well?
@thenerve as long as you can fit through the aisle and in your flight attendant jumpseat seatbelt then there’s no weight restrictions girl! This ain’t the 50’s anymore! Almost all of the airlines start you off at $20 an hour now. Do some research! 😁❤️👍🏻
@thenerve Aldo you get quarterly bonuses and a raise every year.
@hannah_banana0012 – Well, that’s good news, but dang, you guys don’t get paid enough, that’ not just a waitressing position, you know…
@thenerve oh I know 😉 I’ve taken care of a lot of medical emergencies. But the travel perks are worth it. You can go anywhere for practically free! And the pay isn’t bad. Some airlines like Southwest and delta start their flight attendants out at 27 an hour and max out at over 60 an hour at retirement. 😉
