i thought i could have my cake
ive pretty much been a workout freak for the last year and a half. not to lose weight mind you, but to MAINTAIN my weight because I LOVE TO EAT. well…about a month and a half ago i went to try on brides maid dresses with the rest of the gals for liz’s wedding and i pretty much fit into a size four with room to spare! I figured, no biggy i’ll just have it brought in a little when it comes in and i get it altered!
well….since then i’ve been awarding myself too much for going to the gym. i thought i could have my cake and eat it too, along with mcdonalds big macs, taco bell crunch wrap supremes, pizza hut pizza, soda, candy, cake, cookies, chocolate, rice krispee treats, YOU NAME IT I ATE IT.
those dresses came in and liz brought them over to my house last weekend for all of us to try them on and when i put mine on, the zipper would only go up half way. I had liz and ali try and try. one holding the top together while the other zipped up.
Ali "Um problem…this is not going to zip…"
Me "WHAT?! no that can’t be, it must be stuck. this is my size!"
Liz "Are you sure you didn’t try on a size 6 Hannah?"
Me "NO it was a size four! I know it was! I’ve never worn a size 6!"
Liz "Oooh yeah! I remember now! Gosh Hannah, that was a month and a half ago that you tried this dress on and I remember there even being some extra room in this dress! HOW CAN THIS HAVE HAPPENED? You work out allll the time!"
Well finally we got the dress zipped and i stuffed my boobs into it. I could barely breath. I thought that if i inhaled too much the seam would break! However, the dress did look great on me! Even though all of the body fat around my middle was being squished down below the waist line, and probably some of my organs.
This was my second wake up call. I may be able to run 3 miles, and do 7 pullups, but that won’t stop me from gaining weight! I need to stop thinking it is okay to eat so badly just because I’ve gone to the gym. *sigh*
So since that day I haven’t had a single desert. Yeah I had macaroni and cheese and some pizza, but I figured if I was going to give up something it should be the sugar right? We shall see how long this will last until I cheat haha. Man *shakes head*
You’ve just got to step up your workout girl! If you do the same routine all the time your body gets too used to it and sets that as the bar where you start burning calories.

hannah! if you are serious about losing weight it shouldn’t just be sugar that you cut out but unhealthy fat too! mac n cheese is one thing but pizza hut pizza is another! it has tons of saturated fat, that stuffs really bad for you! when you have a craving do something productive with it. example,i went for a run in the woods, before i got there i wanted a donut. what did i do with that donut

craving? i ran until i didn’t want it anymore, and when i was too focused on how my heart was feeling and how out of shape i felt. i know that you can do this hannah! if i can lose 4 pounds in a month just by starting to exercise again and eat better you can too!! i mean come on! you work out all the time and i’m lucky to at all! so don’t fret because you will attain your goal!
