Happy Birthday to my best friend megan 🙂
We have been through so much together through the years. I can’t believe we’ve been friends since we were 14! crazy huh? Well I mean I CAN believe it haha, but you know what I mean. It’s weird how fast time has flown by. I can’t even believe i’ve been in Washington that long.
Okay on to today
Aika left yesterday. I was sad to see her leave, but she has school and her other life in West Virginia. We both made a promise to work on my dads boat next summer (the summer after this one), but I’m hoping I’ll see her before then! Maybe at Adriel and Angelas wedding? Adriel told me that they were planning to get married this summer so that should be like a big reunion in itself!
Any who, Aika and I had this talk about what we realized about ourselves this last year and what we wanted to work on. I told her that I feel I have this undescribable fear of moving forward. For example. Whenever I get a new job, or try something new or alien to me, I freak out, but once I just do it and get it over with, I feel completely comfortable. It’s just that first leap that scares me. A lot of the time I feel i’m at A and I can see C but I can’t figure out what to do to achieve B <—getting to C.
So this year I am forcing myself to push harder to achieve my goals, to not make excuses or take the easy way out and to be more of a leader than a follower. Today I called 3 different agencies in Portland Oregon and I only got ahold of one. When I asked them about coming in to drop off my headshot they said it would be best to e-mail it in or mail it to them since they really don’t have time for that. Then he mentioned that their talent scout damon did however schedule apointments for fridays. So I e-mailed Damon directly and had an e-mail back this same day with an apointment scheduled for Friday at 11! Then I also contacted ABC talent in Lynwood and also mailed out my headshot and resume to Topo Swope Talent in Seattle. ABC talent also got back to me and I scheduled an apointment with them on the 22nd. YAY things are getting somewhere! I felt like I achieved a lot in one day.
Well, I guess im heading to Portland Friday!
