bellingham weekend!

so since i found out that i didnt work all weekend, i decided to go up to see jen!  Scott was being a douchebag and they broke up. I feel so bad for jen. I could tell she really had put all her hopes into that relationship and scott just constantly let her down. so i brought her a card and chocolates to cheer her up! ^_^ and me of course haha.

and then megan said shed go and ali too so i was very happy!  we surprised jen with ali cus jen only knew that megan and i were coming!

The drive there actually wasnt too bad!(although the drive going back seemed way shorter)  except when i had to stop at the toll booth for the bridge, the wind blew my dollar out of my hand and i had to go running after it in the rain as it was flying around! i was so embarrassed! everyone in their cars were watching me haha. Jen lives with brent (i knew him from when he used to work with me) and ben (another person who used to work at mccormick but i never got to know) and their apartment only has one picture on the wall….kramer from seinfeld. lol. it needs color! any who all in all their apartment is nice and roomy! We got there pretty late so we went out to dinner at a place called mi mexico (obviously mexican food) which was very good! I love mixing the beans with the rice and eating it together lol. any who megan, ali, and i  (since we were all 21) decided to order margaritas! ali and i got the regular ones and megan got the strawberry slushy one! Man…i wish i got megans! hers tasted soooo good and alis and mine were too strong! eck.

after eating we went and hung out at emma mobleys house where she was there with her boyfriend jackson and courtney simmons was also there with her boyfriend doug! we played this game called apples to apples which ive never even heard of till then but it was fun!

next mornin i made crepes for everyone! yum yum yummy! haha. and then we all went to this beach that everyone calls tree house beach or something like that, because there is this huge tree that someone build a big tree house in made of driftwood! It was sooo cool! Not only that, but a bald eagle was hanging around. he flew really lovw above our heads and perched in a tree not too far up where we could see him clearly! He was so beautiful and didnt seem to be bothered by us one bit! Later i saw him spread his gigantic wings and swoop down to catch a flounder from the shallows! It was awesome. I wish so much that i had brought my camera!

Our hands and faces were red from the cold so we all headed out to find a nice place to get some coffee or hot cocoa! The place was cute with many small tables and a few couches. The walls were covered with local artists tiles and paintings!  I had my usual 8 ounce double shot white chocolate hazelnut latte with no foam and extra hot and we all sat down to play clue! I was soooo close to winning but brent beat me too it 😛 should have followed my intuition!

later we all went to jimmy martins place where there ended up being a whole bunch of people! drank (again ) sigh. and danced a lot! by 3 am i was ready to go haha, but i had so much fun! everyone there was really nice and friendly! there was this one chic named simone (she was white believe it or not!) who was just crazy! and a  really good dancer too! she practically gave me a lapdance haha.

so we woke up late the next morning, ate, and then headed out to larabee park! This place reminded me of abercrombie park in kodiak! really woodsy and pretty and had water pumps and trails. Lots of cliffs and rocks and tide pools! Jen , Ali, and I decided to let megan and brent go off on their own because we suspected they were interested in eachother, so we took another trail. I just couldnt get over how beautiful it was! The limestone had been disolved over time in different places creating cool patters and small caves! I was also excited about finding animals underneath the rocks! really pretty purple starfish(i swear there must have been over 50 of them) and cute little crabs!

After the beach we went out to lunch where i had the biggest cobb salad i had ever seen! i probably only ate a quarter of it.

then we headed back to jens to pack and leave since it was almost 5. i was really sad to go, it was so nice seeing jen and being able to brighten up her weekend, and it was so refreshing to be out in nature! Being with my friends and making these great memories just makes me so happy! I am so lucky to have these people in my life. Its funny, out of everyone i could have been friends with at schedgewick when i moved, i somehow got lucky and found the ones who were smart, kind, and good hearted ^_^. and its also funny how none of them really hung out with eachother and now we are all one big group!

I hope life doesnt take us too far apart from eachother.

Friendship is great isn’t it? You can always count on friends and I think you did a great thing by going to see your friend Jen to cheer her up. That’s what friends are all about. I miss the ones in Italy as I see them every 2 months, but if you have a great friendship, you will always stick around – real friends are hard to lose. Take care x
