Audition Day for Kira

Well….bad news about the power….they didn’t tell whitney until last minute about a reconnection fee of 50 dollars which she did not have the money for in her account and the bank was already closed so there was no way that I could put the money in her account. She feels horrible, but I know it’s not her fault. It’s this stupid power company. Well now they are charging us 75 bucks to get it hooked up tomorrow since we couldn’t do it today. Whitney told me that she knows this is not my fault so she will pay me back the money asap. So until then I am just going to not open the fridge and hopefully everything in there stays cool.

There are plenty of candles in the apt so I don’t have to worry about lighting at least 🙂 and the library is open until 9:00 so I have internet and a printer available to me in there until that time at least.

My hair is gross. I didn’t wash it yesterday because I didn’t want to wash it in the dark and because I can’t use my blow dryer, but now that the power won’t be on until tomorrow I have to shower and wash it tonight 😛

Taking a shower with only candle light will be kinda creepy lol especially being all alone in my apartment. I’ll probably start thinking of the movie psycho and get all paranoid that my creepy neighbor is going to break in. :-S EEEW. Okay happy thoughts…happy thoughts….

On a good note, today was my audition! Well it wasn’t really an audition. I was kind of shocked because Tanya (the screen writer) and Monica (the girl playing sarah opposite of me) was there and Tanya just wanted to see our chemistry and if we worked well together. It was pretty much a rehearsal and she seemed to be very very happy with me 🙂 She was especially happy at how young I looked haha.

I was kind of confused because the whole script was there and she told me the synopsis of the entire thing, which is really really awesome and I will get to that in a second, but she seemed to be talking about only filming this one scene. Anyway I forgot to ask her about my confusion about whether it was just the scene or the entire movie that was being filmed, while I was there, so I just sent her an e-mail to ask her what exactly it was she was considering me for, and if it was just the scene, what the purpose of just filming the scene was.

This is very important because if she wants me to do the movie….I have some issues. Especially dealing with the nudity that is required.

The movie is about a beautiful 16 year old girl named Kira who’s parents are shot and she is taken to auschwitz. As soon as she gets off the train one of the lieutenants is lecturing to the jewish prisoners telling them that they will be sent to the showers to be cleaned off and then they will be able to be reunited, get their luggage, and be put to work. Of course these are lies. A woman cries out that she heard that everyone sent to the showers never come out. Another lieutenant shoots her in the head and tells everyone that the woman is a lier and if anyone else has anything to say they will be shot too along with the ten people next to them. He then grabs Kira and tells her to clean the blood off of his boot. She tells him that she does not have a cloth and he rips her blouse from her and hands it to her saying "now you do" Kira shocked tries to cover herself.

All of the Lieutenants and Corporals notice Kiras looks and send her to Barack 24, where they keep all of the pretty girls to please the nazis. Pretty much their sex slaves. 

So Kira is taken away while everyone else, the women holding the hands of their children, are sent to the showers where the doors close forever.

When Kira is taken to the baracks there is no bunk for her, so the gaurd replaces her with one of the girls and takes the girl away to be shot.

The scene I am performing is the moments after the gaurd and the girl leave. I meet a girl named Sarah who prepares me by telling me that in a few minutes, a gaurd will take me to one of the lieutenants rooms where I will be forced to perform oral sex and then raped. She comforts me as I cry because I have never been with a man and she tries to give me strength, telling me that I must do as I am told to save my own life and to not cry and not let the germans win. She tells me we will get out of this hell hole as long as we behave.

It is a very powerful and heavy scene. I am going to have to dig inside and bring things out I didn’t even know I had in me for this.

Anyway to sum the whole thing up, the Lieutenant who’s room Kira is sent to takes pity on her because she is so young and unexperienced. After a while he starts to see through her eyes how hating the jews is wrong and he falls in love with her.

If this were nudity for some flick like "The Hot Chick" or some party animal movie, I would never agree, but this is a powerful film that will truly affect everyone who watches it, and for the sake of the story, I would be willing to do nudity for it, I am just not sure if being nude in my first real film would be good for my career, and also, I want to talk to Tanya and the director and see if they can make it as conservative as possible with implied nudity at most parts.

Anyway, these are only my concerns if she actually wants me for the movie.

I really hope so. It sounds amazing. I’m just afraid that maybe I am not ready to pull it off.
