aikas here!

monday afternoon aika arrived from snowboarding at whistler! one of her friends had bought her a ticket to come over and so she was able to come see me as well! what luck! i had been counting down the days and was so glad to see her!

even though there are long periods of time we go without being around eachother, every time we are together its as if nothing has changed 🙂 We just start off wherever we left off, chatting and catching eachother up on everything that has been going on in our lives.

Before she came over I went and spent time with her and two more of my friends that i grew up with Kojin and Sonia in seattle! I had not seen either of them in almost 2 years so i felt guilty, but they seemed to understand and we all agreed to make more effort from now on to stay in touch and hang out. Any way we went to lunch at this fancy little bar called something like palaminos for happy hour! aika, kojin and i had these 5 dollar pizzas that were SO GOOD. i couldn’t believe they were only 5 bucks! Then we remembered that was only happy hour prices. *shrugs* Still though that was damn good pizza. Also Aika and I split a few drinks. A long island ice tea, a white russian, a pomegranite margarita, and a sex on the beach. Our whole bill total turned out to be 92 something or other, but after splitting it up, aika and i owed 29.50, and sonia owed 18 bucks, so kojin just told our server to charge him whatever was left. Guess what? She came back with his bill and it was only 8 bucks! THEY ONLY CHARGED HIM 8 bucks instead of like 70 something that he owed! Maybe she had a crush on him? I don’t know, but that was pretty unbelievable.

Sonia had to go to a family dinner right after that and so Aika and I went to hang out with Kojins friend Eddie. Funny thing, we both knew Eddie because we went to school with him on Kodiak. Although we never actually hung out with him and got to really know him.  Still it was cool to see another familiar kodiak face! It went really nicely actually, catching up, talking about what we were doing now, about  people from the past and updating eachother on what we knew about them now etc… We played pool, drank, played some more pool, drank. I couldn’t believe we were doing this on a monday night of all nights haha, but I figured it wasn’t going to hurt having a little fun with friends I havent seen in forever.

Later sonia picked us up and she and kojin dropped us off at the ferry telling us they would come over thursday night to play wii and party it up again.

before we went to bed aika and i had a long talk about…well everything! Our ideals and morals, painful events we experienced during the past year and how they affected us, amazing events we experienced and how they affected us, our views on relationships with people, friends, memories, etc…!  It’s so refreshing to see her again, and i feel lucky that its not the first time, but the second time within a year that we get to spend so much time together! I think we both really needed this 🙂 it had been waaay too long! alright well I could make this entry longer because lots more has happened but ill just write about that tomorrow. Aika is falling asleep and wants to go to bed. we just finished watching tons of stand up comedy videos on youtube. 😀
