Pet Update

The kitten is growing by leaps and bounds. Even though I thought I would call her Paisley, she seems to respond fastest when I baby talk the words Honey Bunny Sweetie Pie Cuddle Kitten … which is an awfully long name for an itty bitty kitty.

Cody loves to visit her and desperately wants to be her cuddle buddy. But his sheer size (golden retriever the size of a MOOSE) is rather intimidating.

The other cats (Boo, Jujubee, Josie, and Gypsie) are all being inhospitable … (low growls and such) …. and so small kitten’s home is still in the master bedroom (which is the best room in the house and which I generally use as a guest room). It’s now all decked out with a feeding station, a kitty litter box and a play area.

Poor kitten still tends to sleep in a drawer under the platform king size bed where one board underneath the headboard is missing. I’ve lined it with one of my old sweaters. (The other drawers are completely intact and not accessible to her).

And little Duke, (a red colored miniature pincher) loves kitten too … but kitten does not return the affection just yet.

So the pet crew is doing well and will eventually accept the little newcomer … but that time, kitten is confined to just one room.

I’ve posted one pic of kitten on previous entry … and will post more as I become able (this new computer is rather complicated and I’m not able to easily transfer photos from device to device just yet).
