Blog #34

Wow. Getting up today was difficult. I just didn’t want to. Wanted to sleeeeeep. But I didn’t let myself. It was easy once I actually like, got myself out of bed. But mustering the willpower to do that to begin with was tough. Somehow I managed to do it at any rate, as you can well see as I speak. Yay for my currently-pseudo-daily entry. I’m gonna have to go out and send a package today. Thing with my uncle got cleared up pretty quickly, he thought I got messages when I hadn’t. But things are cool now. Which is good. Time to go learn some more about MIDI and all that fun stuff. Actually it’s pretty damn interesting; there’s a lot more to MIDI than people think there is. Well, if you wanna be technical, there’s a lot more to almost everything about music and recording than most people think there is. A LOT more. Yeah, definately a good thing I got up. I probably need to know this, haha. I’ve only missed ONE day (and it was a sporadic lab day that I wasn’t really warned well about….though that still bothers the hell out of me that I missed it. It was something I already knew, stuff with computer itself and I know that sort of thing pretty well, so technically it wasn’t a big deal but still it means i won’t get perfect attendance) so far. Just one. And I would’ve been there too if they had been better about warning me about it. So I think I’m doing well as far as that goes. My current instructor is weirdly good at what he does, too. He actually like….woke most of the class up for the mornings. And you could tell. We were like, absolutely quiet early on, but now people are asking questions, responding to him….I think he’s really, really good at what he does. I’m getting the habit of chilling near the front when people come up to ask more focused or personal questions regarding the material to hear stuff and it’s cool. I need to remember to burn him a cd, actually. Hrm. But yeah, I’m definately up now, today is gonna be no problem now, haha. Should be a good day too. Yesterday was after all. Yesterday was a test day too. He’s a crazy instructor too when it comes to that. Generally there were 5 answers to a question, and there was always this random answer in there, usually E, that made absolutely no sense. And there was always a concept we haven’t actually covered yet as well. So really it was a question of which of the 3 left over was the right answer really. What I mean by this is like, for the “beat frequency” he would have 3 answers, one being the right one like on normal tests, he’d have a fourth that said “A technique use by hiphop artists to create a powerful, fluid beat” which is something that’s definately there, I’m sure, but not something this current class is about, and then he’d have this weird 5th answer like “uhh…eli whitney and the cotton gin.” Some of those 5th answers were strange as hell too. One was “Don’t pick this answer. It is wrong.” LOL. Crazy guy he is. Oh wow, I got carried away, I was gonna write about Amy and the one guy whose name I forgot (again) and JT, and Alfonso. Damnit! Oh well, i’ll do it later. I’m pushing being late now though >_=[ with myself. So I’m off.

With Love.
