sticky

even down here at my daughter’s the dramas keep coming. Oh for a simple life!!!

Woke last night around 5am to a new small tremor, to find my arm sticking to the sheet…turned on light to discover soft gooey chewing gum in the bed, softened by my body heat. Esme was chewing yesterday & must have lost some)…heheh. It was everywhere, but at least it didn’t get into my long hair, that would have been the last straw!!! Anyway I was too tired to fix it at 5am so covered it with a pillow and slept on.

Before she went to school Esme and I tried to fix the problem with ice, doing it quietly and secretly to avoid a pre-school screaming match with her mum, but didn’t have much luck. Rachel (my daughter) figured out everything but by then we were laughing about it so not problem. The sheet is now crumpled into the freezer to harden the gum and we used cooking oil to unstick my body.

Now, when you all stop laughing I will tell you….my arm is rather raw from the scraping but as oil soaks in it will come right. We are off to the op shop soon anyway, just having a cuppa.

We all had a family day out yesterday (sunday) and even played a game of mini golf. Needless to say the youngest one won ( my 9yo grandson!) Kids are so clever these days!! It was heaps of laughs!!!

Small earthquake tremors persist, leg is improving, and the sun is shining. Snow on surrounding mountains is glistening and all is well with the world, here anyway,..despite continuing moments of drama.

I am getting to look forward to going home yet will miss family so much when I do so plan to make most of next few days….but I do miss my cats and my big bed.

Will check all you folks out more later….

luv ya’s….P
