current shame-inducing guilty pleasure
sticking my feet over the vent in the floor when the heat kicks on if I’m sitting at the desk upstairs. (it’s in the perfect spot for achieving this maneuver!) I should probably be wearing fuzzy socks more frequently. in the meantime, I’m hoping I don’t develop some Pavlovian response every time I hear a heater kick on.

inky purple, soft ivory, grey

current favorite food(s)
coconut butter, cranberries (well, not straight up, unadulterated cranberries – though those are GORGEOUS) – this led to making a massive batch of cranberry sauce the other night. I’ve also been contemplating the possibility of another cranberry + fresh sage pie (sounds weird, but so, so good. well, as long as you like cranberries. and pie.)

current favorite drink
I seem to be craving peppermint mocha lattes frequently these days. subsequently, I’m beginning to wonder what’s going to happen when I find myself with easy and abundant access to my kind of coffee "on tap" again. I suspect I may attempt to make up for the lost time I’ve spent with flavored lattes. I am going to be SO AWAKE!

• a purse that is just the right size with all the pockets and dividers I’ve grown accustomed to

• renewing my OD subscription. I keep meaning to and then failing to do so.
• getting all the wee drifts of life’s ephemera that have begun gathering in my room either sorted and put away or tossed
• a hot beverage
• a body butter that does not smell like Hawaiian Tropics (I need the moisture, but the season/fragrance clash is too much right now)

my brother saying his favorite Christmas present was the hat I’d made him because, "my little sister made it!" also, that my niece wanted to sleep with her fuzzy pinks scarf. "it smells like cookies!" (it was in a box with cookies for a week or two)

current indulgence
window-shopping knee-high boots on the internet. it started when I had to take mine in to have the soles glued down, with the warning that the materials may not react well with the glue. I have them back now, and everything is fine. but I’m still browsing boots.

with loving family
in a warm duplex
which makes for awesome exchanges of "where’s bea?" here when the toddler next door goes running through the house there.
