You guys! [MsJess] went and took the "partake of this song/album I’m ALL ABOUT right now" thing I’ve had going on and made it SUPER AWESOME! She calls it "snippets of awesomesauce" and has expanded it into the current tidbits that are of note, with the intent to revisit this topic as often as necessary. I’ve decided to call mine "awesomepants" because I will gladly embrace any excuse to use that mash-up word when it suits me. 1. Jason Natural Cosmetics Shaving Lotion

THIS IS THE AWESOMEST THING I’VE EVER SHAVED WITH!

I had been using Suave conditioner for my shaving lubricant for about 10+ years. In the last 5 or so years I threw in some fancy pants shave gel/lotion (not the gel-to-foam stuff you squirt out of a can, because I quite loathe that stuff) for the occasional bout of ingrowns or sensitive streaks. (They were quite occasional, but still annoying enough to warrant switching it up when necessary.)

In the last year or two, Suave changed up the formulation on all of their hair care. This meant their conditioners now clogged my drain. Which is totally grody. So I decided to find something new to shave with. In keeping a fancy pants shave gel/lotion on hand, I went through several as I wasn’t ever wholly satisfied with any of them. Since I’ve ditched Suave conditioner, I’ve been sticking with the fancy pants stuff. Which means I’ve gone through them more quickly. I think I’ve yet to repeat a product so far.

When it came time to get something new, I picked this up from the hippie health food store (where even the tortilla bags smell like patchouli, I’ve discovered. but the tortillas are delicious and not filled with weird or icky ingredients, so I will gladly deal.). OMG, YOU GUYS! IT IS SO RAD!

I had been on the verge of changing out my razor for a few days. But since I keep in the shower (and my cartridges are not stored in the shower,

so that whole "out of sight thing" is at play), and it hadn’t gotten dire yet, I hadn’t gotten around to it. The first day I used this shave lotion it was almost like shaving with a new cartridge! I was wondering if I was going to remain smitten with it. It’s been nearly two weeks and I still think it is the bee’s knees. You can probably find better prices online, as it retails for around $7.
