Compliment
So, one of the playgroup moms who has a couple older kids (and therefore seems infinitely more wise than the rest of us) told me today that it makes her smile every time she sees me with my baby, because she can tell what a strong bond we have, and that Baby always looks so happy and secure. Definitely one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. 🙂
Baby is just over 9 months now. The time is going way too fast, but at the same time I’m really excited to see more and more of her personality. She’s awesome.
I think she’s nearly ready to walk. She’s cruising all over the place (for my non-parent friends, "cruising" is when babies stand up holding onto something, like the side of the couch, and walk along it), and a couple times now I’ve been able to let go of her and she stands for a second or two before she topples over. Taking care of her is harder now that she can move, but I’m happy for her because she seems so excited to be able to get herself around the room.
She loves the cat. He doesn’t return her feelings, but at least he’s not mean about it…he just looks slightly terrified most of the time. She tries to say "kitty" but it mostly comes out as a kkkkkkk sound, which sounds just a bit like she’s hissing at him as she chases him around the living room. Now I’m suddenly wondering if I already wrote about this in here. Hopefully I’m not totally repeating myself!
She’s starting to get some real social awareness now, where when the people around her laugh at something, she starts laughing, too. Or if another baby cries she looks concerned and makes a little "ohhh" sound that sounds a lot like how I react when she cries. Which is so adorable to hear from her.
I feel like I totally hit the baby jackpot…she’s the happiest little girl, and such a little cuddlebug. And ridiculously cute, with her chubby cheeks and big eyes, and pouty little mouth. She’s such a beautiful little girl already.
I just love her so much. I still can’t really believe I made her.
Yet you plan to tear her world apart by running away chasing a fantasy with someone you never actually met Despicable! I love it
