6 months
Baby is now 6 months old (as of a couple days ago). How the fuck did that happen?? So here are some random things about what she’s up to these days.
– She loves the crap out of her exersaucer. If she’s in a good mood I can put her in there and count on at least 20 minutes or so of happy baby time, and have my hands free to actually try and clean up or something.
– She breastfeeds like a champ now, except for the fact that she’s way too distractible (<–that word looks like it’s spelled wrong no matter how I write it!). She’ll get started eating, and then suddenly lurch backward and turn herself around so she can see what’s going on behind her. Even if what’s going on behind her is absolutely nothing. So she doesn’t always eat as much as she needs in one sitting, which means I have to feel her really often.
– We’re starting her on solid foods soon. She can start any time now, I just need to figure out what she’s going to eat, and actually get it.
– She finally, finally sleeps in her bed, as of a few weeks ago! It’s a lot of effort, though…I have to rock her until she’s really, really sound asleep, and then carefully put her in the crib so she doesn’t wake up. If she wakes up we have to start all over again. It’s a little frustrating but at least she sleeps in the crib now.
– She’s trying SO hard to crawl. It’s cute…I think she’s actually capable of it, but every time she’s about to push herself forward she gets a little too excited, accidentally rolls over, and gets mad about it. 🙂
– The girl is a serious flirt. Whenever I’m out with her, she’s looking around for people to smile at, and if she catches a person’s eye she gives this adorable little cheeky smile, giggles, and then buries her face on me.
– She loves to blow raspberries. All the time.
– I love her. This is probably not noteworthy, but worth mentioning anyway, because I’m amazed every day by just how much I love this little girl who just a few months ago I had never even met.
Aw, I can’t wait to have babies!
