6 and 7

I really want to rant about the election, but political rants are annoying. So instead I’ll do more of my random topics list.

The only thing I’ll say about the election is that I really hope you all voted. And if you live in one of the states that has a vote on marriage equality today….I really, really hope you voted against discrimination. I kind of don’t want to know if any of you voted against marriage equality, because I won’t like you as much. And Baby came with me to vote today, which was fun. 🙂

Anyway, the next two topics aren’t really worthy of their own entry so I’ll do both of them together:

Day 6 – What band/musician is most important to you?
Day 7 – Do you read? What are your favorite books?

I’m not sure I would particularly say that any band or musician is "important" to me. I tend to really like or dislike individual songs, rather than having strong opinions on a band or singer. Generally, though, I HATE country. Really hate it. And other than that, I like a little of everything. I have a hard time picking a "favorite band" because most bands have some songs I like and some I don’t, but if I had to pick (in terms of consistently liking their songs) I guess I’d go with Greenday.

Do I read? Not often, although I like to. I tend be very all or nothing with reading, so I’ll go for a month without picking up a book, or I’ll finish a book in a day or two. I can’t read a little at a time or I lose track.

I like pretty much any book that has interesting characters. I read all the Hunger Games books a few months ago, and loved them (finished all three books within a couple days). More recently, I’ve just been reading total "fluff" books that I wouldn’t count as favorites. Kite Runner was one of my favorites. And Kitchen God’s Wife. I have a couple friends who keep insisting I need to read the Harry Potter books, but I’m not even a tiny bit interested.
