I spilled coffee on a homeless guy this morning. I feel like a horrible person.
I wasn’t looking down, and his blanket or something was sticking out a bit, and I half-tripped over it and let go of my coffee, which spilled all over his coat. Thankfully just on his coat, and not directly on him, so it’s not like I burned the guy or something.
The thing I feel so bad about is that I really didn’t know what to do about it. I had Baby with me (in her stroller, nowhere near my hot coffee), so I wasn’t about to invite some random stranger to come inside and warm up or something. So I just gave him the money I had on me (a little over $50), apologized profusely, and told him I hoped it was enough for a new coat.
(no point to this entry, I just feel bad about it and wanted to write it somewhere)
I probably would have done the same thing. $50 for him I’m sure will go a long way for food, and I doubt he will care about some coffee stains on his coat lol

We keep out homeless people under bridges in Detroit. Less of a trip hazard… (Kidding I swear! )

£50 that was a lot of money to give away I am hopeful he will put it to good use and as you said it was only a coat you did the right thing dont feel bad about it x

RYN: I totally understand that! Up until now I have been too paranoid, but thanks to the changes I have been trying to make about myself over the past while I figured why not. BTW I thought about emailing you earlier because I almost bought a set of Woodworking Books but I’ve managed to hold off until I at least get home. (They’re on sale for $20 off for the set) and I don’t want to missit. But you hadn’t responded to my other email yet so I figured I wouldn’t flood your Inbox lol. Plus I figured that would be like making you my sponser in AA or something, emailing you every time I almost buy something. Ah maybe I’m just crazy, that’s always a possibility, then again, aren’t we all?
