Too hot

I swear to god I’m gonna kill my mother if she does not adjust her attitude. For five years while she was in Dubai I could lay my hand to anything in this house. She’s been back for six months, and my two identical pairs of black bikini bottoms, which I’ve not worn since she’s been back, have vanished into oblivion.

Cue me asking what the hell she’s done with them. Cue her insisting that she’s never clapped eyes on the things, despite being with me when I bought them, buying a pair for herself then deciding she didn’t like them, then giving them to me, hence how I now have (had?) two pairs. Cue a slanging match and stomping up and down stairs and dragging every drawer out. Only to still not be able to find either pair of the damn things.

God knows what she expects me to wear. I’m notorious for buying bikini tops and mixing and matching, I don’t own a full bikini set, but everything goes with black bottoms right? The fact that both pairs is missing is very unfortunate given that I go on holiday on Tuesday, and am working all day tomorrow and Sunday. I do not have time to be running round like a loony trying to find the damn things. I have even less time and inclination to be going out buying a pair when I have two perfectly good pairs in hiding somewhere in this bloody house!

My mother is now sat downstairs refusing to have anything to do with the whole thing. I’ve given up the search, leaving a pile of potential holiday clothes marooned in the middle of the bedroom and have come to lie down and calm my nerves with tennis and refresher sweets.
