Tiff

Dan and I are having a tiff. He’s doing my head in.

Basically, there was last night, where he spent the afternoon in the pub while I was working, and insisted he wanted to come to mine and stay when I had finished work. We got takeaway and wine, he didn’t want wine cos he’d been drinking all afternoon. He ate his tea, barely made conversation, then fell asleep. Or rather passed out cold to the point that I couldn’t wake him up. I turned everything off and went to bed alone. Left him on the settee with the dogs. He was in bed when I woke up, god knows what time he came up.

Then today, he said he’d cook me dinner tonight. I have been off doing family stuff all day, he’s been watching the footy with the boys which is fine. Until I ask him what time we’re eating and have to ring him when he doesn’t reply to my messages. He says somethin about half seven, maybe eight ish. So I got mad and told him to pick a time, or if he wanted to just stay in the pub with his mates then he should have told me this earlier.

Basically, I’ve done it to death. I’ve been in a relationship where the boy has put getting drunk with his mates before me. I’ve been in relationships where I’ve run round after guys when they’ve finally deigned to see me. I’m sure once I’ve spoken to him about it he’ll think hard about it, but this is something that’s going to drive me insane.

If he wants to spend the day with the guys that’s fine, I’d never stop him seeing his friends. I just hate it that he makes plans with me but feels it’s appropriate to change them willy nilly and I’m left sitting here like a mug while he has fun with the guys.

I’m off to chat to him about it soon, hopefully he receives it in the manner in which it’s meant. I love the guy, I want it to work, he says he loves me too, that’s gotta count for something right?
