Butternut/Moonlight

Is nice that this day is over. It was just one of those days. Like I had imagined, it was going to be a pain, after the store being closed yesterday. I recieved a nice wakeup call this moring, and I know I shouldn’t get used to them, cause one of these days, she is going to stop, and well I am going to cry..lol In the mean time, keep them comming.

So I get to work, and the delivery truck is already there. Usually, it shows up about 9 or ten, but today it was there bright and early. I am running late, cause I didn’t want to get out of bed. So I sneak in the back door, for fear that the guy that called me yesterday is standing at the front door. I have both hands ready just in case. I manage to open up the safe, I swear every time I go to open it, I have to stop and think which way to turn, how many times, and what number to stop. Takes me back to my high school years with out locker locks, yeah its that kind, the spinny kind, but this one involves three turns. Acutally four, cause you have double back on the last one. So there I am thinking which way and how many, when JoJo sneaks up and say hey..I about popped him thinking it was a theif. So then he enlightes me and tells me dude the Handy truck is here. I am like no sh*t. So I give him the cash drawers and tell him to open up, so I can go and unload the truck. So the problems begin. We have a ninteen sixes forklift. It is old, and even though it is made my Cat, it is still old. So there I am choking it to death trying to get it started. Like the dying breath of a squirrel ran over, it just grunts. I grab the can of ether (starting fluid) and give is a squeeze. About ten seconds of squeezing, and me getting high, it finally starts. So I go and unload the truck, the guy is well see ya next week, and I am cool. I walk into the store, and it is packed. I am like damn it. JoJo is stuck in the plumbing section with this look of time out on his face. So i do what I do best, i run..lol.

After helping everybody out of the store, Albert who is in charge of the county maintence department comes in and tell me that he needs twenty gallons of paint. I am like dude what da hell, you going to fill a swimming pool up with paint instead of water of what. He was like na, we have a bunch of imates that are doing some community service, and well might as well have them paint. So i mixed up 10 gallons of Butternut, and 10 gallons of Moonlight. A bright yellowish color, with a soft white. Quite a combination.

The whole day was pretty busy, and it never failed the smartass or two that said well I didn’t know you were going to be closed yesterday. And I couldn’t help myself and said, well didn’t you see the hot pink paper on the door saying we were going to be closed on Monday. Ah, some people just piss me off. Still no word from the Boss, and I am happy. If it was up to me, I wish he would never come back. Me and JoJo got the store on lock down.

In other news, I talked to D today. Ha, I am starting to sound like an old record. I just love it when we play voicemail tag. Even with my busy day today, I was able to call her three times. Then we chatted online and everything was good. Needless to say, things are going good. Nice and slow and just good. Going on two weeks without a fight or argument. That requires some celebration..lol Just kidding.

Well I guess that is enough rambling for today. I still have to see what new adventures tomorrow brings. I figure if I start off with my right foot foward, and a nice wake up call, tomorrow can’t be that bad of a day. Wish me luck…
