No Sugar Challenge

I know. I’m still having a hard time committing to journaling regularly. I’m trying. It’s been a busy time in the last month with homeschooling and day to day life.

I’ve also been spending a lot of time on my new blog. Actually, I have a personal challenge set for the next month and am looking for others wanting to try it with me. I’m going no sugar for 28 days. Check it out.  Are you willing to try it out?

Other than that, life is just busy, busy. We took a couple days and heading up to Wisconsin Dells for a break and change of scenery. It was nice.

SIL, I think, is settling in to her new routine. I am sure it is much better than what it was for the last several years. I actually haven’t heard from her in awhile. I should give a ring to check in and say hi.

Hubby has some trips coming up. One is for sure which is for a conference his company is sponsoring in Arizona. He will be gone for ten days. Most of the time will be spent working with is other co-workers before the actual conference. Since they all work remotely, it is a rare chance to be together. He may or may not be going on another trip a week or two before to a client in Boston. A busy time but it will work out. With it being so busy with activities, I think the kids and I will manage.

Lily has been obsessed with practicing gymnastics moves. At some point I realized she was spending all her time in the family room jumping and trying to do handstands while I was busy. So, I started working with her. She’s loved the focus time. And she’s improved so much. She’s not consistent yet but she holds some pretty nice ones now. She held one for almost five seconds last night. She also loves practicing walk overs off of the ottoman. I’ll be curious if she stays so intent on it but its fun for now.

John is also improving although he’s been pretty awkward physically in the past couple weeks. I finally connected the dots and realized he had a growth spurt. He grew an inch and half since the new year. It looks like he’ll need some time to get comfortable with his new, taller self. He is also officially moving over to level 3 for gymnastics. I’ll be curious to see how he’ll handle the new challenge. The class is two hours long but it is at a better time so he won’t be so tired. Plus, I really love the teacher he’ll move to. He’s the head coach and really great with the kids.

Hopefully I’l be back with more updated sooner than later. For now, anyone joining me with going sugar free?

Ok, I can’t deal with completely no sugar but i AM having an ‘austerity’ food run…aka eating healthy and not buying crap/eating crap. How are you going on the no sugar? Every time I stop eating chocolate/suagry stuff, I crave squash and roasted carrots. Mmmm. Way to go Lily! she’s got awesome balance! And John, bless him, Sam gets really clumsy when he’s spurting too. I think it’s harder on the boys as they’re more conscious of it, the girls don’t seem to to care and will happily topple over all the time. 🙂
