Tree plantin’

Oh, so everyone in the car yesterday when they crashed is safe (Paul, Eva, and another of Eva’s aids). Paul was at fault though, and generally feels prettu terribly about the whole thing. He also had to make the phone call to Eva’s parents last night, and her dad was apparently pretty irate (and even said he’d be making the 6 hour drive up to where they were today). Hopefully this will all work out without too much complication because Paul was already really stressed out before any of this.

So now they are basically stranded in a hotel in Oakland (about 45 miles from me)–no car, so of course no way to get around, and no way to get back to LA. I hope I still get to see Paul tonight.. I’m sure he really needs someone he can talk to.

Anyway.. I have to leave for work in about half an hour. Today’s schedule: another tree planting project, lunch, and a 3 hour walk downtown to look at different types of trees. I really like the planting and getting my hands dirty, but I hope I’m not affected by the fact that I only got 4 hours of sleep last night. But yeah, I like the fact that my job is to do stuff like this.

I have been having a lot of indigestion lately; this is neither exciting nor fun. I’ll spare you the many gory details.

Oh my … I’m glad everyone was alright and I hope (the dad isn’t a totally poopy head). I’m happy that you’re enjoying your job.
