Still not working**CAT PICS
It’s been a boring few days. The bad thing about not working is that I don’t have anything to do! It’s hard without friends out here and without cable television, heh. At least I’ve got a kitten here that really enjoys having someone around all day, so she can pounce and scratch and demand cuddles. I wish keeping up with her could be my full time job (she’s climbing up my shirt right now trying to make me pet her… she slowly reaches her paw up to my face and pats me with it… what the hell?!).
Some of us went wine tasting this past weekend. It was good to get out of the house and it was pretty fun, but I realize now more than ever that I just don’t “get” wine. It all tastes the same to me no matter how expensive it is, and that taste isn’t very enjoyable at all. Oh well, right? It’s probably something people get used to.
The weather has cooled down a bit, so that’s definitely a plus. It’s much easier to be cranky when you’re also sweaty and have the sun glaring in your eyes, you know? Right now I’m trying to enjoy my “vacation”, but I’m so used to working that I feel kindof useless if I don’t have a job. Plus I’m trying to help out around the house because I feel like a lazy bum and don’t want Paul’s parents to get too tired of me. But what can ya do?
Hmm… I just realized that I really make use of rhetorical questions. How exciting!
I have been applying for jobs like crazy. Unfortunately nothing has panned out yet (obviously), but hopefully that won’t last too long. I want to find a place with Paul once I’m working at a place where I don’t feel disrespected, something that will hopefully be more stable for me. I realize that I like stability and don’t do well with change or when I don’t know what’s going on (just ask anyone who tries to give me directions! Getting lost and freaking out is like my superpower!)
Anyway, I should shower and… apply for more jobs.

So yeah, the kitten is still around. I think she has grown but I can’t really tell (since I see her everyday, you know).
She spends the majority of her time biting/chewing on things.
For example (examples?):
Sometimes she just lays there:
And then she chews on hair:
And she also helps me practice to become a zombie:
Haha. Oh the joy of cats! I take it you can’t just bum around on the trolley and make a day of it, eh? My boyfriend is reasonably knowledgeable about wine, and has endeavored to get me to appreciate it. I can taste differences sometimes but it’s basically it either tastes good or not good, at best I can say if it’s “fruity” or not. Good luck in your job hunt, hon!

The kitten sounds very cute. 🙂 I know how you feel, since being jobless while Chuck and his roomate working all the time I spend my time with my rats. Chuck said that I’m a rat mommy with them. 9_9 Man, being paid to take care of rats would be awesome! Being bored sucks… I do have the luxury of free cable, but no internet until now. Good luck with the job hunt! =)

Ah, with wines… yes, it takes alot to get use to and tell the difference between the years, different winery, etc. I’ve probably had a more gentle introduction of wines with Chuck since he first took me to Olivers Winery in Bloomington. Most of the wines were very sweet so it was easy to enjoy them. After that, well it takes years to develope a sense of taste with wines.
