Hey folks.

A little news to report on the job front: I had 2 interviews. Yesterday I had an interview at Petco which was particularly dreadful… I think it’s because I was having a bad day, and the woman interviewing me seemed pretty unorganized and wasn’t a very good conversationalist. She will call today if she likes me, but I don’t really expect her to and that’s okay.

I had another interview today to be a mental health worker. That’s out of left field, isn’t it?! I have absolutely no experience and it is something I never really thought about doing before. The job is at a non-profit organization and (apparently?) involves teaching basic life skills to people with psychiatric disorders and/or people who suffer from substance abuse. My degree (despite my lack of experience) would put the pay at $10 an hour (instead of $9), which still isn’t a lot…but at least there are benefits. It would definitely be an experience, though.

I’m not sure how the interview went.. I mean, I felt a lot more confident than I felt yesterday. The woman who interviewed me is apparently interviewing several more people. There are several positions open, and they are going to call everyone tomorrow afternoon with their decisions. We’ll see how it goes.

Until then I guess I will still apply for jobs like freakin’ crazy. My eyes hurt from staring at the computer so much though.
