THE TWO CAKES I MADE TURNED OUT TERRIBLE. BOTH ARE HEAVY AND NOT FIT FOR CONSUMPTION. I WILL KEEP THEM SO WE CAN BLOW OUT MY SON’S CANDLES BUT THEN WILL PROBABLY THROW THEM OUT! NOT SURE WHAT I DID WRONG. MAYBE IT’S THE BROWN SUGAR.

I always use brown sugar but in some recipes it does create a heavier cake. At least the thought was there and I’m sure your son appreciated your efforts. hugs P
