YEP, I’M STILL UNPACKING
It’s four thirty and I’m up. I think I have my night and day mixed up – like a baby.
Today I unpacked some boxes. I can finally see the end. I’m unpacking stuff for my craft room. There is so much stuff – so many odds and ends. They are hard to separate and pout in baskets. My son took me to the Dollar store and I bought about twenty more. I must finish so I can start painting.
In the morning the man came to show us what he has available for blinds. We didn’t choose anything yet. My interior decorator is coming tomorrow morning so she will help us choose. They are quite expensive.
Next weekend we are going to Toronto. It’s my sister’s 80th birthday. Saturday night my nephew and her three sons are making her a barbecue party. My sons and daughter will be there. Also my grandchildren. Sunday my sister and I are going to a matinee of Billy Elliot. Then we are sleeping in a hotel and spending quality time together. I can’t wait to give her the scrapbook I made.
We got the KEURIG and are really enjoying it. It’s so easy to make coffee and tea. I also bought cocoa but it’s too sweet for me.
My dolls are displayed all over the house. I have to get some shelves made as I think it looks too messy. A few wouldn’t look bad but I have way too many.
The handyman should be here in about ten days. I have to decide where to put more shelves. I still have at least twenty boxes of books in the storage room. I will soon start rearranging my books by author and hopefully weed out some.
So I am going to try to get more sleep. How about you?
You’ve got a lot of work to do, and I’m not sure that I want to be there right now :-)) But good for you!

You have a good approach to unpacking – not too fast – not too slow. How big are the baskets?

Good job! Sounds like it will be very neat and nice and you will know where things are.

RYN: The stuffed french toast (and all the food pics I’ve been posting lately) are from a food delivery service called BistroMD. They deliver frozen meals once a week and that is what you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can choose to purchase snacks, as well, but I didn’t sign up for that plan. =)

thanks for the note. I am feeling better – loading up on fluids. At least I got a lot of rest, lots of reading (finished the whole Sookie series) and very little eating!

Packing and unpacking are sometimes useful for the sorting and resorting exercise. When I can’t find the proper place for an item, sometimes I can tell it does not belong in my life anymore. Not always, though, and I need to go to a Dollar Store to purchase boxes! Happy unpacking and happy birthday to your sister!
