WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO? – read

GRATITUDE

IT IS A WARM AND SUNNY DAY!

I AM GOING TO DO SCRAPBOOKING WITH MY FRIEND AND DAUGHTER THIS AFTERNOON.

I don’t think I should read the newspaper anymore. It is just so depressing, scary and nauseating to read what goes on every day.

Killings!

Rape!!!!!!!!!!!!

Murders!

Drunk Driving!

Rape!

Incest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beheadings!

Cruelty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

War!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Hatred!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This can be such a wonderful world. Why oh why do we have all this horrible stuff going on?????

What has happened to our values? I was watching VIEW for the last time. Some women have had twenty and thirty operations to make themselves beautiful!!!!!!! Did they operate on the inside too????? Why do we need a program like THe SWAN?????????????????????????????????????????????????

What the heck are we teaching our children and especially our young women?

I know it wasn’t perfect years ago but looking back it seems as if it was. Mothers stayed home and looked after their families. Fathers worked and brought home the bacon. I think people had more pride in their work. There was more loyalty in the office. Now it’s more dog eat dog. There is no security at work.

I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again

STOP THE WORLD. I WANT TO GET OFF.

I know the feeling. But you know, we still have the power to make things simple again. All of us live for what we think we need..More money, More things…. When the truth is, all we need is “enough”. As for the way of is all…..That’s simple too. Don’t do anything to someone else that you would not want done to YOU.

Wow this sounds like one of my rants. When I first saw the ads for The Swan, I was outraged. What a waste of money when there are people, children even, hungry and homeless in our country and around the world. Makes me sick when people who need wheelchairs can’t get the and Fox puts on a show like The Swan spending so much money on people’s outsides and calling them ugly ducklings which…

recently they changed to ordinary woman (probably due to public outrage.) aaaaaarrrrgggghhhhh

I seldom read the newspapers and definitely not watch the boob-tube for just these reasons.

Call me an ostrich, but I don’t want to know what’s going on in the world today. I can’t change it, and it upsets me terribly, so why watch or listen.

I agree with you. You’ve seen where I live, and more often than not, I simply don’t want to leave it. I procrastinate to the last moment then scurry off to catch up. I think I’m becoming a hermit. I’m happiest when the gate is locked and the phone’s unplugged. Cutting way back on the TV/Radio too. Enough already.

I guess this is a bad time to sing Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World”? … Made ya laugh. Hugz,

I understand your feelings here too….including about the shallow values we are teaching our young about physical beauty versus inner beauty. You may wish to read my latest entry, I would appreciate your comments…hugs

I don’t read the paper or watch TV anymore. It is too sickening.

My boss, a professor of philosophy, and I have this ongoing discussion about how there is no good without evil. I don’t understand this concept and he keeps trying to explain it to me, but so far i still don’t get it.

I dont read the paper, but I do watch the news and it is the same way.

I watched the Dick VanDyke show Monday. It was of the cast having grown older. Dick is good looking now. Mary looked like to many Swans. To artificial and tight. Makes her look almost as strange as Mi… Jackson. Then last night the cast of the Carol Bernette show was on. Judging Amy is good. Mostly I am watching the Discovery stations. Animal Planet is my top pick. Show the best mankindcould b

I’m with those people who live in blissfull ignorance and don’t know what’s going on in the world. The time I spent with my friend recently raised my blood pressure significantly because she has CNN on literally 24 hrs a day. I have seen more of the prisoner scandal than I ever wanted.

Our world is such a mixture, isn’t it. There is so much that is beautiful and good in it; but those don’t make headlines. The bad and the sensational are broadcast all over the world, instantly and repeatedly, so we get the impression they are the only things happening, also that they’ve never happened before. But often it’s just that they haven’t been public knowledge before.
